Amazing place, cozy with a view of a banana tree farm. We saw so many beautiful birds and the elephants were just a walk away. Host was helpful, understanding and lovely. This is the best place if you enjoy nature. Thousands of fireflies in their own garden was the HUGE plus!

Very nice place with great hosts. Very warm and friendly people who took a great care of us during our 2 nights stay. Big and tasty breakfast! Nice views from the terrace. Each evening after sunset hundreds of bats fly above the guesthouse to their night location which is a fantastic view to watch.

We were lucky to get an authentic insight into the real Sri Lanka and the local culture. Our host Prashan was incredibly warm and welcoming – we can highly recommend this accommodation! The accommodation: The room was clean, well-furnished, and equipped with a fan and mosquito net. The small private pool was a real highlight – and all of this at a very fair price. The food: The food was delicious, freshly prepared, and full of flavor. There was a huge variety, and always more than enough. The host: Prashan speaks perfect English, which made communication very easy. He is extremely friendly, helpful, and always there to support with advice and assistance. He really caters to the wishes and needs of his guests, and shares fascinating insights into nature, culture, and everyday life in Sri Lanka. His hospitality is truly impressive. The activities: We went on a TukTuk tour together and visited a breathtaking waterfall, went on a beautiful mountain hike with spectacular views, explored a riverbed, and watched giant bats in the evening. It was a one-of-a-kind experience that we’ll never forget! We felt safe and well taken care of at all times, as Prashan accompanied us throughout and made us feel completely at ease.

Breathtaking views from the property, especially from the Deluxe apartment. Interior design is just perfect. It has all necessary facilities. Apartment was very clean. Overall it is not just a place to stay, it is a whole experience that we will never forget. I wish we could stay longer. The owner and his family extremely kind! Everything was just perfect. You HAVE TO stay at Paradise Itzu when in Sri Lanka.

What a little oasis the small hotel is. It’s so tastefully decorated, beautiful rooms. Gaya and her staff were the best. So helpful. Lovely pool area and gardens. Great breakfasts. We stayed here to see the kandy and go to see the elephants. So for us it was perfectly situated.

This place was like being at home during our stay in Kandy. Vipul,Kosala and her mother were like family for us. The room is amazing with a beautiful view. Everything was perfectly clean and nice. Kosala's food was amazing, she cooked for us vegetarian rice and curry every night and delicious breakfast, our favorite food in Sri Lanka. Vipul was very friendly from the beginning, he offers transport service with his own car, which is something very convenient. We already miss them so much and we are looking forward to return to our Sri Lankan family!

The guesthouse is situated in a beautiful, hilly, slightly mountainous landscape. I drove there in a 110cc Honda Vio. I traveled to various destinations on my scooter. The owner is happy to give you some suggestions on where to go. There are temples, waterfalls, and mountain viewpoints to visit. An elephant sanctuary is also not too far away, as is Kandy with its botanical gardens and the Temple of the Tooth. 5-30 km. The temperature at night, around 22°C, is ideal for sleeping even without air conditioning. There is a fan, which I didn't need. It can get hot here during the day, but it's nowhere near as humid and oppressive as on the coast. My room was nice and clean, with a private bathroom. The view from my window looked out onto the garden. Around the house, you have a further view of the valley. You can set up your breakfast table outside so that you have shade and a beautiful view of the valley at the same time. The meal, with rice, various vegetables, and eggs, was extremely tasty and inexpensive. You are welcome to express your wishes.I, along with the owner, restored an old, overgrown spring and bathing area. It's about 40 meters away. It's still very rustic. It's about 2 meters long and 2 meters wide, made of brick, and chest-deep. It has a naturally uneven rocky and sandy bottom.I came as a stranger and left as a friend.
