If you're looking for an authentic Sri lankan experience and wanna be treated more as a friend rather than a guest, choose Jungle Host Hostel. Chooti and Diva - the hosts, took good care of me and showed me some secret places around. We had so much fun spotting elephants at night, watching plenty of sunsets and sunrises. I think I also learned a lot about the Sinhala culture cause it was a bit like a Couchsurfing experience. I met some great travellers in the hostel! It was definitely my best stay in Sri Lanka and I'm grateful for that. The rooms are also very nice and clean.

Our stay at this hotel was absolutely wonderful. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Breakfast was amazing, and the view from the rooftop pool was simply breathtaking. The food and drinks at the rooftop restaurant exceeded all our expectations – every bite was a delight. The team was always attentive and helpful, making our stay effortless and memorable. We left feeling completely relaxed and grateful for such a beautiful experience.

What an incredible place. The location, the host/owners, the staff, the property itself.. eveything. As soon as we arrived at the place, it looked like paradise. The staff greeted us right away and checked us in. The view of lion rock right infont of you and the lush rice field and lake around it. There were so many different kids of birds at the lake/marsh, even peacocks. The view from the lake of both rocks were incredible, especially during sunset when the whole place is bathed in golden light. The room was very clean, beds comfortable and the view incredible. The owner was amazing (he was a fellow Canadian :)) - they took the time to converse with us, booked tuk tuk and recommended how to get to certain places. 100% will return again - without a doubt.

The entrance was a little hidden, and there was no office, but the host came out when we arrived and showed us to our room. Fruit juice was provided once we settled in, which we had on the balcony. Rooms were great and very clean, the bathroom large and very nice. Breakfast was great, a recommended out of the way gem.

    We loved the fact that this property was just off the main road, which meant we could really enjoy the sounds of birds without the sounds of tuktuks and cars competing. And then it was just a 3mins walk to the main road where we could enjoy cafe and restaurant life in this small village. And a perfect location to walk to the rocks - about 15mins.

    Amazing place!! Super nice family and dogs. We also rented scooter from them. They woke up because of us to take us to Pisurangala. We recommend it to everyone. Amazing breakfast and dinner. Also great location. Thank you very much - we felt like at home

    Great location, just a minute away from Sigiriya Lion Rock , great coffee and food. You can see lions rock and mountain view from the hotel. Owner husband and wife are very friendly. Also dog friendly! Also, their leons sanctuary for animals, the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. So many dogs they are taking care of with sooo much love.. would love to visit you people again once again thank you soo much for so much love ❤️
