The location was amazing, it is located high up above the lake where the views are really spectacular. You can see beautiful fish tail mountain very well from here. The room has very large windows overlooking a valley and mountains, with a balcony and table outside the room. Birds singing, hawks gliding, roosters crowing in the distance. The breakfast is fresh and delicious with a good choice of Nepali and European choices, the coffee is excellent. I had my dinner there every evening and again delicious. The family are extremely welcoming helpful and friendly while also respecting your privacy and it really does feel like a home from home. Within a very short walk there is the peace pagoda and an amazing cafe with great views over the lake. And then the beautiful forest walk to the lake where you can get a rowing boat taxi to lakeside, a great experience.

Our one-night stay at Raniban Retreat was short but deeply restorative—just the kind of peaceful escape we didn’t know we needed. Perched above Pokhara, this hidden gem offers stunning panoramic views of the Annapurna range, Phewa Lake, and the city below. The moment we arrived, it felt like we had been transported to another world—quiet, calm, and wrapped in the embrace of nature. The retreat is beautifully and tastefully designed to blend seamlessly with its natural surroundings. Winding stone paths, wooden cottages, and lush greenery all contribute to a sense of tranquil isolation that melts away the noise and stress of city living. Even though we were there for just one night, it was more than enough to recharge our social batteries and reconnect with ourselves. The hospitality at Raniban was equally unforgettable. From the start, the team was warm, attentive, and thoughtful. Pradip, the operations manager, made our check-in a breeze and later surprised us with a heartfelt farewell ceremony steeped in Nepali tradition—a touching gesture that left a lasting impression. Rakesh, the manager, was ever-present to ensure everything ran smoothly. A very special mention goes to Asvin, who went out of his way to take care of us throughout our stay. He thoughtfully surprised us with an impromptu candlelight dinner—a magical and unexpected gesture that made our evening extra special. He was always on hand to assist with our questions, and his attentiveness and genuine warmth made us feel incredibly well cared for. The food at Raniban Retreat was another highlight—fresh, organic, and packed with flavor, much of it sourced directly from their own backyard garden. Dining with a view of the Himalayas made every bite feel like a celebration. Despite a minor setback with a piece of broken luggage (damaged during our flight), the staff went above and beyond to help us manage the issue.

For me the most important thing here was the owner Bikram. He will help you te feel at home in Pokhara, a beautiful warm heart. The rooms are clean nicely sized for a reasonable price. My first choice every time I come back

It was wonderful stay. Spacious and cozy room . Hot water, fast wifi , view from balcony was amazing. Quick service, friendly owner and staff. They are very professional and polite. I'm really very happy. Highly recommended.

Definitely this was our bests stay in Nepal while we were there ! We are a Portuguese couple traveling by motorcycle and by that time visit Nepal/Pokhara. To be honest we loved our stay in this hotel ! Staff is super kind and friendly. They helped us with everything we needed since the beginning! Great private parking so we could park took our motorcycle there with no issues and it was very safe. Reception staff is very kind. Our special attention and appreciation go to Sanggeta that was very kind with us and helped us with everything. Rooms are very clean, spacious, comfortable and great environment full of light! Immaculate to tell the truth! One of the cleanest toilets we have ever seen ! Amazing hot shower 24h Fresh towels and sheets 👌🏻 Room is spacious and very comfortable with good temperature, nevertheless you always have AC. We slept very well because the bed is too confy ! They provide laundry service and the service which is quite good. Breakfast is delicious !! Could not ask for a better breakfast to be honest ! Everything is fresh and homemade. The lobby area is very nice ! Very nice decoration and environment. We stayed in this hotel for 11 nights and we did not want to leave.

Helpful and nice staff. Hotel is very comfortable, delicious breakfast and located close to the main street but in a quiet area.
