I stayed at Plage 65 for a couple of weeks to explore the surroundings and it was well worth it. I'm trying to stay on the budget, so I think it's a good value for money in the area. Might be the best deal for your buck, actually. The beach is really close, you can go surfing during the day and catch beautiful sunsets every evening. The old authentic try-living-Filipino-style house is away from the main road, so you'll be able to relax and have your peace after a long day. But due to the nature of the house, don't expect soundproof walls. I'm not a light sleeper - so had a comfy and good rest every night - but maybe something to keep in mind for those who are. There is stable wifi, if you need to catch up with work situation during your staycation. The kitchen is equipped with all kinds of cutlery, a gas stove and a kettle - all I need to cook own meals and enjoy some of the local cuisine, generously offered by the hosts. The hosts Saye and LJ are very nice and you can talk to them for any kind of advice to explore La Union. They also offer tours all around the area, and I can recommend going anywhere in the mountains - there are plenty of streams to dip into, beautiful waterfalls and amazing greenery you don't see anywhere in Europe. It's a must if it's your first time in the Philippines or any kind of tropical location. Nalvo Pebble Beach is worth checking out too for nice views and some tranquility. You can go snorkeling at the lagoon, near Immuki Island, which is popular among the locals.

I arrived and the place is locked and I was told the booing will not be honored. There were very free other places to go and the place I did find was not good. I would not recommend this owner as they don’t honor their bookings.

    I liked how accommodating and hospitable the host was. I also liked the location of the house as you only need to walk for less than 3 minutes to go to the beach, and drive for around 5 minutes to go to the center of activities such as restaurants, bars, and such. It was also a bonus that the house was pet friendly. We brought our rabbit with us to our trip and he was allowed to roam around the backyard and garden area, the host even allowed the rabbit to stay inside the room with us.
