I strongly recommend this hotel. 5 mins walk away from the river and very quiet. They serve lunch or dinner, has to pre-order a day ahead. Love their cooking. Must try.

Good location as well, walking distance to Tianmen mountain cable car station and the main town.

She helped us with everything, got us tickets, and gave us important information. She was always attentive. She gave us ice cream and a gift at the end of our stay. At the guest house, every unit is equipped with a desk and a TV. Just next to the ancient town, the owner was extremely helpful and spoke English. Do not attempt to the place on your own as we did :) The owner offers to wait for you at the bus stop/taxi stop and accompany you to the hotel, which is only a couple of minutes away.

I visited during the low season and was the only person staying but I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. In particular, the staff are incredible. May is a wonderful person and made me feel very welcome! Not only did she organise everything for me to see the local attractions but also went above and beyond to include me in mealtimes, karaoke and teaching me to play mahjong 🀄 Great place, great people.
