I love that the people is very kind and warm. The place is close to the airport, it's nice and you feel secure. The beach is only few steps from the hotel, with a calm and wonderful sea. I enjoy the food from the hotel's restaurant. For me is important not only a tasteful food, but also well prepared. The menu offers several options. I recommend it. Also the breakfast is super!. The pool after a day in the beach is great. The hotel's personal call you by name, and they are always with a smile. I hope to come back again with my family the next year.

El Santuario was the perfect home base for exploring Minca! Nora and José Luis have obviously put a lot of love into their hotel- they were exceptionally kind and provided us with everything we needed during our stay. We split three rooms between 5 friends, which was totally comfortable for us. We started every morning taking in the stunning views while enjoying a delicious home cooked breakfast- the birdwatching is unparalleled to any place I’ve visited before! It’s a quick 10 minute drive to the center of Minca- we had a car, but the hotel will happily arrange a mototaxi for you, which I took advantage of as i chose to stay an extra night after my travel mates departed. We ended our evenings using the ample common areas to sip tequila and reflect on our adventures. The evenings were cool enough that we wouldn’t have used a/c even if it was available. Of course there are some bugs, but what else would you expect staying in a rustic town in the middle of the jungle?? Other reviewers noting this as a con are obviously unused to accommodations that strive to be as ecologically mindful as possible to their natural environments. I love the location and the beautiful landscape, the gardens, the pool. The rooms are big and lovely bathroom. But above all the staff!!! Out of this world hospitality and consideration. They took such excellent care of us. The family is so proud of this place and want to share everything. You will not regret staying here.

The property is allergy-free and is situated a few steps from Guachaca Beach. The location is great, right at the beach, and mangrove forest right behind the house. There are good food options near by and bar next door. There is no shoes policy which keeps the place clean, but also gives you natural, comfortable and cozy feeling. It is decorated tastefully, with a lot of natural material, beautiful forest view, and sea breeze. Have in mind if you are coming from Europe or elsewhere the 110V plugs, the place has just enough infrastructure to feel comfortable, but be mindful it’s in nature. Setting is beautiful with river and the ocean, and staff was really helpful about where to eat, helping us arrange the transport from the airport, and we were pretty demanding guests. Also there have 3 adorable kitties in the house.
