Situated in the market town of Skipton, on the doorstep of the Yorkshire Dales, The Woolly Sheep Inn has free Wi-Fi and free parking on site. Skipton Castle, which dates back to the 11th century, is less than 10 minutes’ walk away. All the meals we had (breakfast and dinner) were delicious and well presented. It was nice to see management taking the time to train staff.

Free WiFi and parking on site is available for guests. The room was comfortable and quiet. The food was excellent. The hotel is an easy walk to magnificent trails and natural sites. The staff was exceptional, especially in helping us overcome major transportation problems ; the location is superb, but difficult to reach without a car. The staff was able to find us a driver, albeit expensive, without whom we could not have made our train connections.

We loved staying here, the village was beautiful and the pub amazing! Food was outstanding! Our room was fab, absolutely no complaints. The owner and her team could not have been nicer, especially when we thought we might not make it home due to a bad storm. This place wasn't a hotel yet it was a gem Coffee, tea and sugar was provided. The bed was a decent size for someone with restless legs! It was separate from the lounge. The shower was slightly on the small size but it was fine for its purpose. The lounge was great. The outside area is nice for having your meal or drinks in the warm weather.
