Situated in the market town of Skipton, on the doorstep of the Yorkshire Dales, The Woolly Sheep Inn has free Wi-Fi and free parking on site. Skipton Castle, which dates back to the 11th century, is less than 10 minutes’ walk away. All the meals we had (breakfast and dinner) were delicious and well presented. It was nice to see management taking the time to train staff.

Free WiFi and parking on site is available for guests. The room was comfortable and quiet. The food was excellent. The hotel is an easy walk to magnificent trails and natural sites. The staff was exceptional, especially in helping us overcome major transportation problems ; the location is superb, but difficult to reach without a car. The staff was able to find us a driver, albeit expensive, without whom we could not have made our train connections.

The apartment was very comfortable, clean and well-equipped. The kitchen area is basic (two burner hob, no oven( but well-equipped within its limitations and sufficient for all everyday needs with a microwave, small fridge and good provision of pots and pans etc.- there's a lovely great big old dresser with copious quantities of crockery and cutlery. The owner lives in the same building and was on hand to greet us. He was great at helping us deal with storing bikes safely and the apartment was very clean, quiet and comfortable. The local pub was mere steps from the door for a convenient pint and dinner. Towels, toiletries and hair-dryer all at hand.
