The pine covered hills above the village offer opportunities for walks with great views to the sea and islands below. The village is also great as a base for exploring the whole of Evia island. From a short drive to Pilio, or a more adventurous one to Mili and Limnionas for great food and bars; to even further towns like Steni with its famous tavernas, or Limni and Edipsou up north.

Olga’s place is a large house in a wonderful shady garden, and while we didn’t have the best room since we were only there for one night, it was fine with a good bathroom, air conditioning, a fridge, easy parking under huge trees and a shared kitchen/living room area where we made ourselves supper and breakfast with everything we needed there. Easy to get to from Lamia which was difficult to drive around, and the village looks welcoming, shaded and interesting for spa- and nature-lovers, in a beautiful setting.
