The view of Lake Mývatn was just awesome from the bar and the restaurant. Best location possible. Wish we could have stayed much longer. Will use this hotel again on my next visit. Food in the restaurant was very good both diner and breakfast. Bonus was seeing the northern lights dance above the lava fields surrounding the hotel.

With a terrace, the property also features a shared lounge and a fully-equipped kitchen. The house was excellent. It is located in a private area in a lava field and is surrounded by low trees. It has a large common living room with an open kitchen. The living room had large glass openings and we could see the trees. It also has a very large balcony with a table and chairs to enjoy nature. The entire house is surrounded by a he living room had large glass openings single balcony with tables and chairs per room. The kitchen was fully equipped and had everything we needed to make a full breakfast (eggs, oil, butter, jams, milk, etc.) The room was clean and comfortable. The host was cheerful and gave us information about the area. Lake Myvatn, the baths and the other attractions are very beautiful and worth the stay. Unfortunately when we went the Grjotagia cave was closed, but we were compensated by the other attractions.

Watching the aurora dance over the lake was simply unforgettable—the absolute highlight of our entire trip! ✨🌌 The cabin itself was warm, cozy, and beautifully set up—just what you need for a comfortable stop while doing the Ring Road. Our host was very thoughtful and made sure everything was perfect for us. A special mention to the sweet lady at breakfast—she was so kind and took great care of us!
