TOURS: Host Kalhara will organize tours at reasonable rate and his driver is a very nice person. we did a tour and driver was very patient and took us around paddy fields. It is an amazing experience. Situated right on the edge of Wilpattu National park these minimalist cottages provide an authentic feeling of oneness with nature. The srilankan cuisine served every evening was a curated menu of traditional Srilankan dishes made with the freshest ingredients. Served under the starlight the lantern lit dinners were highly enjoyable and very relaxing. The main reason we would always choose wildhideaway wilpattu to stay and safari with is its owner Mr Anto. His inimitable passion and dedication towards wildlife and photography is inspiring. He keeps himself aware on the animal sightings to give those who safari with him a greater chance of of catching a glimpse of these majestic creatures. On our safari we saw, leopards, elephant, sloth bear, hyena, python, crocodile and several others. The stay was simple comfortable. The rooms have been thoughtfully and sustainably designed. Tea and breakfast can be had while relaxing on the verandah. The stay at Wildhideaway Wilpattu taste of the raw beauty of Srilankan wilderness the memories will last us a lifetime.
