An amazing little cabin off the side of a beautiful river with waterfall you can swim in. This was the most unique and amazing rustic hideaway we were in. Such a special place! The family was super kind and the meals were plentiful and delicious. As it is isolated, you will probably eat all your meals here, they are good and well priced. Jungle tour recommended by Sahara, was fun and interesting. He was very easy to coordinate with for the pickup/dropoff by 4x4 from the nearest town. This place is so special, I cannot recommend it enough.

We can ask delicious local breakfast based on our preferences, and the owner's coffee was simply outstanding. Essentials like bath towels and toilet paper were provided. The property was a wildlife haven, with two adorable dogs and frequent visits from monkeys, birds, and squirrels. Convenience was key—supermarkets, restaurants, and beaches were all within walking distance. The motorbike rental service significantly expanded my exploration possibilities. His warm family—always smiling and incredibly kind—made the stay truly memorable. His mom even cooked curry for us. It was delicious. An unexpected delight was discovering the owner, Amila, speaks fluent Japanese. He generously shared insights about Sri Lankan culture, making this more than just a accommodation, but a cultural experience. Highly recommended!

After a long drive we were met with a warm welcome, glasses of cold juice, and a pre-air-conditioned room with a lovely smell. The room had everything to make you feel at home: tasteful decor, comfortable beds, AC, plenty of storage space, a bright portable lamp to get you through brief power cuts was a lovely touch. Everything’s VERY clean. Any questions/issues were resolved momentarily. Special mention goes to breakfast - BEST breakfast you can get on this island. Located on the beachfront, this property has a garden, a terrace and barbecue facilities. The homestay features family rooms. A picturesque beach with the lighthouse next door. The family-run hotel was clean and comfortable. You can get juice at the restaurant next door or get a cocktail with music on the roof of the hotel next door. The beach is safe for swimming which is not always the case in Sri Lanka. I highly recommend this hotel for its price and amazing location. Great AC, fan, comfortable bed, clean, nice decor.

Hotel is giving great vibe, very cozy, chill, safe and clean. Stuff is very helpful. Very easy to communicate and they help you with arranging everything, from renting a scooter, calling tuk tuk, room service, they offer you equipment for snorkeling. If i come back i am sure i book it again.
