The hosts were amazing. So welcoming to our family and open. We had the most incredible dinner and breakfast cooked by them and shared with the two families. We learnt a lot about Sri Lankan culture and would highly recommend other people to stay.

They were so welcoming to us and helped us with every aspect of our trip. The food was delicious and plentiful and they were a wealth of local information and knowledge. A good location for a hassle-free stay in Tanamalwila, Mayka's luxury holiday homes and Safari Thanamalwila is a guest house surrounded by views of the garden. The property features a garden, terrace and parking on-site among other facilities. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. The guest house features family rooms. Big room and bathroom with space to eat (so we could eat in our room instead of the restaurant upstairs, which was very cute tho...). Best wifi we had during our trip. Great location for Lunugamvehera Safari (we did not book it with them, but it seemed like we could because they also had a safari jeep). The owner speaks dutch and is very nice! We arranged a well priced tuktuk with her, that took us to Dickwella at 7 pm after our safari (about 2.30-3h drive). We enjoyed our stay and definitly recommend when visiting the Lunugamvehera side of Yala national park. Glad there was a restaurant in the hotel, because there did not seem to be much in the area (we didn't mind tho, we were only here for the safari :))

The host is just the sweetest, and offers an amazing safari to Yala at much cheaper than third party websites, and he grew up spotting animals so you are in good hands (we even saw a leopard!). I cannot recommend this place more, it is quite special!
