The core family (Hébert, Yanet and their son Lester) with whom I dealt with everyday are truly genuine people, they have helped me 200% with research on land/houses in that area (my goal when I visited Nicaragua), We had excellent conversations, like I never had in other Latin countries, all in all if you want to understand this amazing country more and you speak Spanish, you will learn a lot. Also, members of the family are master potters, they have a small studio downstairs where you can buy their work and also, very recently, take a ceramics course on site. Don't forget to ask them who is 'Leo'

Casita café is beautiful with a small kitchen that had everything we needed. It was very quiet and we could only hear birds, trees and the sound of the lagoon. We had a pleasant night sitting on the deck and we watched a wonderful full moon that lightened the lagoon. I truly loved this place, I wish we had more time to stay another two nights. Benjamin is a great host, very responsive and was always available to reply to any of my questions. Miguel and Marta were also great and very polite. The dogs in the property are very friendly. The breakfast was delicious and the view was delightful.
