Villas Palma is a fantastic new hotel just minutes from Rinas Airport. The rooms are a standout — brand new, beautifully designed, very spacious, and comfortable. Everything feels fresh, modern, and thoughtfully put together, from the furnishings to the layout. The staff were also extremely welcoming and helpful, making the whole experience smooth and pleasant. The location couldn’t be better for airport access. Stayed here and was pleasantly surprised. This is a true family-run hotel where the owners actually care. Rooms were clean and the whole place was spotless, including the restaurant downstairs. Breakfast was fresh and better than most places around. You can tell these people take pride in what they do. Would definitely stay again.

It's a brand new hotel, the staff was lovely, (we could communicate enough with English with them), the breakfast selection was simple but really tasty. The room basically didn't had any drawers but I didn't mind it. Great shower, facilites were new and functioning. A modern look in the middle of town, I was really surprised. Good air conditioning too, could keep the room cold in August weather just fine. It has an design just like my taste so i really felt at home. TV was an android tv, I could watch Netflix, YouTube, everything I wanted, they really thought out their rooms to the modern traveler. They gave some water bottles to drink every day, that was also cool and considerate of the owner. The bathroom mirror lights were also a really nice touch. The location was central, near some of the historic sites from Dürres. Could walk fine from the port to there with luggage with wheels. They also provided breakfast on our day of arrival for a small fee and kept the luggage before check-in so we could explore the city.

The hotel was very clean and modern, located right in the city center, yet still quiet. The room had everything we needed. I’m not sure if it is a 4-star hotel based on the overall specifications, but for us, it met all our needs and expectations. The breakfast was a buffet, the price was reasonable, and the staff were professional and polite.

    The sea view is REAL sea view. Not side sea view or partial see view. Therefore you will see from your bed over the bay of Durres. It is absolutely great view from your room if you have a room on the sea side. The hotel is DIRECTLY on the beach. Many good restaurants and bars are nearby very close. Therefore best location. The hotel has a stylish interior design and has a private swimming pool. The management and staff are very helpful and friendly. I can highly recomend the place and want to come back!

    We hired electric bikes and rode across the city, which has lots of historical sites. The people are friendly and welcoming. The food is also amazing here. There are local homemade foods too. We came in September and it was still warm enough to tan but not so hot you couldn’t enjoy walking or exercising.

    This is perfect for its purpose!

    This is perfect for its purpose! A clean, comfy bed to catch some sleep before a flight. We could return our car, walk to Rinas to sleep and walk to the airport in the early morning. It worked out perfectly. Safe, clean & our bed was actually the most comfortable we had in our 2 weeks in Albania.

    Kruje is charming and small.

    Kruje is charming and small. You don't need more than half a day to walk through bazaar and explore the castle views and museums. You could stay longer if you are planning to do hikes in the area which we didn't have time for. It is a charming small town with great views and a nice bazaar.

    The beaches are awefull around Cape Rodon. Lot's of trash and garbage floating around the beaches and sea. Currently there are 2 newly built resorts (Saint Michelle Residence and Resort Arbeni) being demolished for unknown reasons. Our first booked accomodation let us know that they had to cancel our booking due to Albanian new legislation (Piceri Rodoni). In my opinion it is better to stay at the beaches of Dürres and visit the cape as half a day trip. But if you want to have a non-active holiday, Rodoni resort is the best place you could imagine to stay.

    If you are not fussy about rural life, this is a good opportunity to get to know the real Albanian countryside. The family is very welcoming and helpful. The villagers were also friendly and willing to help you every step of the way. The cooking facilities at the property were very good. The location is great for getting around.

    We had to drive, but it wasn't a problem for us. We discovered some really nice local bars and restaurants. Duka Wine Estate is definitely recommended, just a 10-minute drive away! Lej & Laj, we'll definitely be back!

    Durrës is a very diverse city, with both modern buildings and unfinished construction as well as scattered trash. The seafront promenade is long and pleasant, lined with plenty of restaurants and small shops. Public transport is available and inexpensive, with a bus ticket costing 40 lek. You can also find bike rentals for exploring the city.

    If you’re seeking nightlife or a highly developed tourist infrastructure, it’s better to stay closer to the city center or in Ksamil. Albania is not just a tourist destination; it is a living history of resilience. After decades of isolation, poverty, and deep wounds, its people are working with incredible strength to build a better future, brick by brick. Its beaches are a gift, its nature is wild and pure, but its most precious asset is its people: warm, humble, and courageous.     Krujë is a lovely spot with both cultural and visual appeal.

    Krujë is a lovely spot with both cultural and visual appeal. One day is sufficient to see what there is to experience. I stayed an extra day because I had work to do online. Be warned, this is a mountain down so you will be doing a lot of up and downhill walking. Reconsider if you have mobility issues.

    Very beautiful beach, clean air surrounded by pine trees, family oriented, a lot of fresh and testy quality local food. Outstanding sunrise and sunset. The best I have ever seen so far. I would recommend to have options of water activities for the families and the kids even though there is plenty of ground activities available.
