A major convenience was the hotel's private garage, where we parked our car without any hassle. Just like the rest of the hotel, the garage was impeccably clean and well-maintained. Overall, this hotel provided a fantastic experience, combining comfort, excellent service, and a great location. You can access from there directly to the private beach side with already included umbrella and seats. We hired electric bikes and rode across the city, which has lots of historical sites. The people are friendly and welcoming. The food is also amazing here. There are local homemade foods too. This is perfect for its purpose! A clean, comfy bed to catch some sleep before a flight. We could return our car, walk to Rinas to sleep and walk to the airport in the early morning. Kruje is charming and small. You don't need more than half a day to walk through bazaar and explore the castle views and museums. The beaches are awefull around Cape Rodon. Lot's of trash and garbage floating around the beaches and sea. Currently there are 2 newly built resorts (Saint Michelle Residence and Resort Arbeni) being demolished for unknown reasons. Our first booked accomodation let us know that they had to cancel our booking due to Albanian new legislation (Piceri Rodoni). In my opinion it is better to stay at the beaches of Dürres and visit the cape as half a day trip. But if you want to have a non-active holiday, Rodoni resort is the best place you could imagine to stay.Guest review byRoBelgium - 10.0

Durrës is a very diverse city, with both modern buildings and unfinished construction as well as scattered trash. The seafront promenade is long and pleasant, lined with plenty of restaurants and small shops. Public transport is available and inexpensive, with a bus ticket costing 40 lek. Krujë is a lovely spot with both cultural and visual appeal. One day is sufficient to see what there is to experience. I stayed an extra day because I had work to do online. Very beautiful beach, clean air surrounded by pine trees, family oriented, a lot of fresh and testy quality local food. Outstanding sunrise and sunset. The best I have ever seen so far. I find that the banking situation is an obscene scam.
I find that the banking situation is an obscene scam. All of my credit card purchases serviced by Raiffheisen Bank were declined at grocery stores for some reason. Several ATMS did not provide me with cash. I had to take cash out of an ATM that charged me $50 US Dollars to take cash out, because the card servicer wasn't approving the card transactions at the grocery store. I have not had this serious of a problem in any other country. I didn't really explore a lot. I wish there was a store that carried camping/hiking equipment. I think the coastline is nice. The restaurant prices seem to be reasonable. Mostly I stayed in my room at my hostel by myself so I can't really be reliable to rate the entire city.Guest review byLyddiebeeUnited States
