Don't expect to see several "hit tourist attractions" like...
Don't expect to see several "hit tourist attractions" like Eiffel Tower, etc. Tiran is a city where you enjoy local dishes at clean restaurants, hospitality, smiling faces. You can visit several recommended places with historical and cultural importance. Traffic is better than I expected. Urban transport is easy as you can pay in the bus (no need to download an application or buy a card). You can spend a few days like the locals. The airport is small, clean, and has a nice modern facade. Check-in was straightforward, and the building itself looks pleasant. During departure it was extremely crowded and chaotic, with no free seating and little space to move around. My flight was delayed, which made the wait even less comfortable. This is perfect for its purpose! A clean, comfy bed to catch some sleep before a flight. We could return our car, walk to Rinas to sleep and walk to the airport in the early morning. I love the weather, the friendly people, their generosity and the amazing food which is reasonably priced, especially when eating in a restaurant serving local food. It is a happy place, full of amazing energy and surprises! It also feels very safe and very welcoming to foreigners! Mount Dajti is seen almost from everywhere you are in Tirana and it is very special seeing it from wherever you are in the city!
