Vineyard tour to Familia Blanc was the best tour we have had so far and we have done 6 in Chile and Argentina. You would need a reason to stay in Lujan, rather than in Mendoza city itself. Visiting family in our case, or the vinyards of course. Quiet compared to Mendoza but lacking big city amenities. We had a fantastic day horse riding with La Quebrada del Condor (ideally you hire a 4 wheel drive or you get them to pick you up) and a day hiking the Confluencia route to the base camp of Aconcagua. The excursions and the wine are the best part of Mendoza, though I would not say it is a cheap city to visit, at least not at the moment. The city itself is quaint, the trees and parks are lovely, and though we felt mostly safe, at night there a quite a few homeless around town, that make it feel a bit doubty.
