Mondi Bellevue is ideally located in Badgastein, the spa facilities are excellent and free of charge, the rooms are spacious and well equipped. We have just completed a 2 night stay in a family suite and I can not rave about this hotel enough. All the staff were incredibly friendly and professional and so good with my 10 year old daughter. The indoor and outdoor playroom were a big hit and the pool area is amazing. The food was excellent and our room was even nicer than the pictures. Thank to everyone for making my 50th birthday a memorable one!!!

The breakfast was exceptional, plenty to choose from and all fresh, it certainly set my day up. Coffee choices were great. The room with a balcony was excellent, the room was very spacious and comfortable, bathroom was also very spacious. The cleanliness of the room and hotel was excellent, and the staff were very helpful and cheerful. The view from the outside of the breakfast lounge area was very good and the hotel was in a great location, bus was 13 stops away from the city centre. I would recommend getting a Salzburg card.     All the spa facilities are great. The panorama spa which is only for hotel guests is amazing, with breathtaking view. The sauna sessions which are in every hour were great, the sauna guy was also very funny. The view from everywhere (room, spa, restaurant, bar) is amazing, you can see the beautiful mountains (if there is no cloud), basically you don't need to go anywhere to enjoy this amazing view. The food selection for breakfast and dinner is huge. There are much more healthy options than other hotels I've been before. There was every day a different theme (Asian, Italian, seafood etc.) that made the dining more interesting. One of the waiters called Marek from Slovakia was super friendly and polite.

    I loved Bad Gastein’s mix of Belle Époque elegance and wild mountain scenery. Mornings meant hiking and cable-car views; afternoons were for soaking in the thermal waters; evenings, cozy bars and great food. The waterfall running through town gives the whole place a dramatic energy. It felt like stepping back in time without losing modern comfort—truly a memorable stay.

    A very beautiful destination, we were alone on the mountain ridges most of the time. We would definitely like to return. For swimming, we recommend the lake in Zell am See rather than the local swimming pool, which is quite small and completely crowded.

    A village in beautiful scenery that lacks something. Accessibility of services (hiking, lifts, restaurants) was a bit confusing. Many services did not have clear English instructions/price lists/online shops. The Tyrolean region summer card seemed to give you a much wider range of services than the Salzburger region.

    It is a residential town so not much atmosphere or amenities other than hotels. It suited us very well as it was very peaceful. Driving or taxi into Salzburg is the best option. Otherwise a bus or taxi to an out of town shopping centre plus a bus from there. We parked out the out of town shopping centre for dinner and got a parking ticket. It was not well advertised that we should have paid for parking. Nothing to do with the hotel but be warned!

    I've been visiting Bad Hofgastein for 12 years in the summer holiday, and with every visit it gets a bigger space in my heart. Plenty of memories, plenty of relaxation, plenty of beautiful and peaceful sceneries, and every year people are being nicer and sweeter.     Sankt Johann is a clean and beautiful town with gorgeous views of the mountains. Walked to visit the town center for breakfast at Bäckerei-Cafe-Konditorei Bauer. We visited Liechtensteinklamm just before they closed. It was the best time to visit the gorge.

    The old town centre is very picturesque and the area around the Market Place is traffic-free. Mozart's birthpace is one of the main attractions and is very interesting to visit, and not too expensive either. I'm not too great with heights but I thoroughly enjoyed riding the funicular to the Castle for terrific views over the city and out towards the Alpine mountains. Mirabell Park is great for a leisurely stroll, and there is a small playground to keep the children entertained. The restaurants and bars are plentiful and serve a variety of different cuisines to suit all tastes, but try the local specialities such as sausages, stews, schnitzels and goulash, and there is always a good range of German and Austrian beers and lagers to choose from.
