We stayed here for one night to break up a 10-hour drive, and it was a perfect choice. Check-in was smooth and quick, and we were impressed with the spacious room, large bathroom, and the huge terrace. The hotel is very family-friendly, and the free parking was a huge convenience. The indoor pool was a nice way to start the day, and breakfast had an excellent variety of options to fuel us up. Everything was clean, comfortable, and hassle-free. We had no issues at all during our stay, and we’ve already recommended this hotel to our family for their upcoming trip to Salzburg. Highly recommend!

    Location is very good. You can walk to almost every important place. Staff is very nice. Darvish and Nuha from the reception are really kind. Janitors have been super attentive and cleaned the room. Please leave a tip for them. I always do. Since grocery stores close at 6 pm, if you need to drink water, go to lounge next to lobby, they have water and coffee always available for guests for free. Breakfast is delicious with good coffee.

    The location near Salzburg but outside. The calm of the village. The property is large, luxueuse and the hospitality is great, the food is very good, the rooms are large and cozy.     It was beautiful and compact with plenty things to do, museums to visit and trips to do outwith the city. The Salzburg pass was well worth every penny, I took the 2 day option and saved a lot of money. Bus travel is free for visitors and can be applied for from your accommodation prior to travelling and therefore you can travel from the airport to the city for nothing. The city museum is closed though for the next 2 years but there are plenty of smaller museums to visit. I really enjoyed a seat and a glass of wine at the modern art gallery. I'm not a big fan of modern art but the view from it and the walk to the St Augustines brewery was a must do. It's a magical city.

    It is a residential town so not much atmosphere or amenities other than hotels. It suited us very well as it was very peaceful. Driving or taxi into Salzburg is the best option. Otherwise a bus or taxi to an out of town shopping centre plus a bus from there. We parked out the out of town shopping centre for dinner and got a parking ticket. It was not well advertised that we should have paid for parking. Nothing to do with the hotel but be warned!

    The staff and hospitality, the effort they made to speak to me in English, they even brought me breakfast out to the patio, everyone else was inside the dining hall, I wanted to enjoy the nice fall weather, by the way the breakfast was easily worth $35.00

    Nice old town to walk around. Have some nice restaurants like the Indian restaura, Namaste. Very authentic Indian food with good service and atmosphere. Another restaurant is Genusskramerei. This restaurant has a small but exclusive menu. Upmarket.

    A beautiful, rural area ten minutes by car from Old Town Salzburg. The 180 degree view from the Gasthof Maria Plain hotel terrace, and from the balcony of room #20 which we had, captures sweeping pastoral greenery in the foreground, behind which is the city of Salzburg with the iconic fortress on the berg, back-dropped by the soaring Austrian Alps. And the sky at night is spectacular! Want an authentic taste of Austrian Gemütlichkeit? This is your place!

    The place was large, spotless and great care has been taken to ensure guests’ comfort and convenience with a more than adequately equipped kitchen. I t is in a quiet and peaceful location with green fields and wonderful views of the mountains. Parking is provided at the front. The hosts are helpful and responsive. Whilst there is a bus service at the end of the street I think a car is probably essential for a short stay as supermarket and Salzburg are a drive away. A few basic toiletries in the bathroom would be appreciated as well.

    The Hof bei Salzburg itself is a beautiful peasefull village, very calm and quiet. Lots of supermarkets and DM store available and located in the village. In the evening after 7 pm everithing pretty closed, so make your shopping in advance.

    I have not visit this village but from the hotel is a 7 minutes walk to the bus stop. I took the bus to Salzburg and it saves a lot of hassle to find parking etc. The bus number is 160 and costed 3.30 Euros per person. The journey is circa 20 minutes and I got off at Morzartplatz. The bus back is on the other side of the river Salzach, near the Rathaus.

    The Hotel Kohlpeter was in a quiet residential area of Salzburg with very convenient access to a bus stop and grocery store. Old Town Salzburg has many sights to see: fortress up on top of the hill, churches with fabulous architecture, some of St. Peter's catacombs where the Sound of Music was partially filmed. There are many great restaurants, walk along the river and some days, there is quite a market with tents as far as the eye can see. Across the river is another interesting area so don't miss this as well. Be sure to take a bus or drive to the Hellbrunn Palace and enjoy all the water theatrics outside. We enjoyed Mozart's father's house where he was brought up ... the birth house isn't as worthy.

    the staff is amazing To things are subjects for improvement First 1.enrich the breakfast 2.There is no refrigerator and safe in the rooms, in my opinion this is a big drawback, a hotel with excellent service like the Kammel needs a safe and a refrigerator in the room for the comfort of the guests
