The room was with panoramic view of the lake. We loved the balcony. The staff were welcoming and helpful. We loved the Breakfast and the variety of the foods.     Great location. Amazing breakfast and food in general. Every single member of the staff delivers perfect service. This is challenging and a great achievement. Respect. The room was nice and most importantly quiet. The view to the Loser is wonderful. I’m not the Spa type so I didn’t use it a lot but it’s nice, it was not overcrowded and the teabar plus nuts and dry fruit is welcomed. I would have appreciated a higher water temperature in the pools but that’s minor. It was warm enough to feel good inside. The golf course is around the corner and next to the hotel. I’m not an expert but the course looked rather mediocre to me and just as much maintained as necessary. But that’s not part of the hotel and not their responsibility. I will definitely come back again.

    I love the location of the hotel which is very suitable for the backpacking only takes 1 minute to the pier. The staffs are so friendly. The dinner in the hotel is lovely with the best view in the Hallstatt and the dishes recommended by the waiter are all delicious!

    The location is absolutely amazing. We wanted to take short hikes with our dog which was no problem here. Altausee is very close and is a marvelous lake to hike around and swim or paddle across. Would like to visit again maybe in the winter as well.

    We had a surprise that the funicular shut down the day we arrived. We didn't make it up the mountain for the attractions we planned to see. The Visitors bureau were not that helpful. They were very vague and we felt like we had to figure things out on our own. Kind of strange. We made the most of it and settled in for a couple days, strolling the lake road and stopping at different lakefront restaurants and cafe's

    We travelled with 3 different trains from Vienna to...

    We travelled with 3 different trains from Vienna to Obertraun in order to visit Hallstat. Unfortunately, the transportation wasn't very convenient for us. One of the trains that we had arranged was late and we had to wait two more hours in order to get the last train to Obertraun. We departed from Vienna at 8:00 and we arrived to Obertraun at 15:30! Obertraun was very close to Hallstat. Hallstat is a magical place but next time I would prefer to visit it by car.

    A more beautiful peaceful vacation could not be imagined. The mountains are breathtaking. The quietness speaks to you, and I left feeling more peaceful than I have in years. We were there in May, and I understand the tourist scene in June and July is a bit busier. There is a lot to do in the village besides gazing at the scenery. Delicious eats, friendly hosts, charming souvenir shops and the ferry that goes up and down the St Wolfgangsee are some of the delights.

    Nice old town that has nice stores and good restaurants to go. I liked the Christmas decoration in the town center. Bad Ischl is a good place to stay and drive around to some other towns like Bad Ischl, St. Wolfgang, St. Gilgen, Dachstein and Badausee

    Being surrounded by mountains and walking trails. I think Gosau is known for skiing in the winter but we were there in mid September and the weather was perfect for walking along the river and lakes. Cool but sunny

    I love the little town. Lovely square. Nice walk around the like. If you love hiking the place to visit. So much to do. Easy access. People were very nice and helpful. I didn't have a great weather but as they say it's not bad weather but wrong clothes 😆.

    Mondsee is a very pleasant area - very pleasant lakeside gardens and facilities. We were particularly impressed by the Post Shuttle Bus facility which was great for visitors without their own car facilities. The service provided by the Tourist Information Office was also first class.

    Sankt Gilgen was lovely - picture postcard beautiful with plenty to do to keep us busy (lake and mountains walks, boat rides, trains, cable cars). Visiting in September, we found it very quiet at night with very few restaurants open, particularly on a Monday and Tuesday. Finding somewhere to eat on spec is difficult and we would strongly recommend pre-booking if you want to eat out.

    Walk around the Bürglstein is very nice and calming. City itself is much calmer than the other ones (St. Gilgen and St. Wolfgang), but still there is everything what would you need, water fun, grocery store, ice cream stand.
