This hotel is not really what we expected. Our room was very cozy, spacious and extremely comfortable. Keep inind though this hotel is an old one, recently renovated, some things remained old. The view from the room is spectacular and an experience in itself. The breakfast was one of the best we ever had in any hotel. You are able to make your own fresh squizzed juice from the choice of vegetables and fruit and the food has been beautifully presented and delicious. Also the restaurant is amaxing, with spectacular view, extremely cozy. It is a very dreamy, romantic, relaxing and cozy hotel. We will definitely return just to stay in there.

We had a wonderful time. The place was well-maintained and tastefully decorated. There were no problems at all. All the amenities and facilities were excellent, exactly as described. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. Located in a very beautiful and quiet area. The breakfast was exceptional. If we visit this place again, it will be our first choice.     Amazing location next to the lake. The views from the rooms and the restaurant hall were spectacular! The hall building was so clean and fresh and the indoor pool was just on the top! Excellent hospitality and service. The staff was friendly and always polite! Don't miss dinner at the hotel's restaurant. It was made from high quality products and the chef was absolutely professional! The dinner menus were different every night, very tasty and perfectly presented! As for the breakfast it was buffet style with a varied selection of local products for every taste! For travellers who are planning to visit Hallstatt, it is a really convenient location cause you take the bus 150 (station 500 m. from Seerose Hotel) to Bad Ischl and after 45 minutes you can switch to train or other bus to Hallstatt. In addition, it is only 35 minutes away from Salzburg. One of the best accomodation ever in Austria! Thank you very much, we are definitely coming back!

    The Ebner's Waldhof am See Resort & Spal has very spacious family rooms. The spa area, especially the heated pool, is magnificent. You can come to lunch in a terry robe straight from the spa area. I really liked the food - a large variety of tasty and healthy food - you can even make your own smoothie from apples, carrots, sellerei and ginger. For dinner, you can choose from several menus, including vegetarian cuisine. Dinner dishes are served and decorated at the level of Michelin 5 stars. Every day the hotel has a new plan of events. The hotel is run by a family, their care and attention are present in every corner of the hotel. The atmosphere in the hotel is very warm, welcoming and friendly.

    The location of the hotel is excellent (easy accessible by a car) in the center of the city. Parking just in front of the hotel, main promenade is 5 minutes from the hotel (same when you want to get the train to Schafberg). You can directly from the hotel take a tour around the lake.

    A more beautiful peaceful vacation could not be imagined. The mountains are breathtaking. The quietness speaks to you, and I left feeling more peaceful than I have in years. We were there in May, and I understand the tourist scene in June and July is a bit busier. There is a lot to do in the village besides gazing at the scenery. Delicious eats, friendly hosts, charming souvenir shops and the ferry that goes up and down the St Wolfgangsee are some of the delights.

    Nice old town that has nice stores and good restaurants to go. I liked the Christmas decoration in the town center. Bad Ischl is a good place to stay and drive around to some other towns like Bad Ischl, St. Wolfgang, St. Gilgen, Dachstein and Badausee

    Such a wonderful place.

    Such a wonderful place. Beautiful buildings and great cafes and restaurants. The Traunsee tram makes public transportation easy. The only downside is the short term parking, so got to look for pricey underground parking or free parking lots which are far away.

    Mondsee is a very pleasant area - very pleasant lakeside gardens and facilities. We were particularly impressed by the Post Shuttle Bus facility which was great for visitors without their own car facilities. The service provided by the Tourist Information Office was also first class.

    Sankt Gilgen was lovely - picture postcard beautiful with plenty to do to keep us busy (lake and mountains walks, boat rides, trains, cable cars). Visiting in September, we found it very quiet at night with very few restaurants open, particularly on a Monday and Tuesday. Finding somewhere to eat on spec is difficult and we would strongly recommend pre-booking if you want to eat out.

    Beautiful scenery and the views across the lake are amazing. Limited supermarket facilities and quite expensive - worth shopping further afield if you have a car. Check restaurant opening times as some were closed when you might expect them to be open, and make a reservation during busy seasons (school holidays) !

    The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent! The room was super clean, the bed was comfortable. and the bathroom was great- excellent shower pressure! We had access to an elevator which helped with the bags and we had a fantastic view of the area on the top floor along with a balcony. I had a minor issue with the reservation on booking.com and the manager/ owner was very accommodating and helped me resolve it. I would highly recommend this property. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer.

    We were here in the low season most things were closed, the lake is superb and great in the summer however the village needs a little more in way of evening recreation perhaps another restaurant and a bar. The public bathing spot is not to be missed its clan and has all the facilities you need There is a local SPAR supermarket which has everything you need with ample parking
