Leo Grand probably has the best staff in the world! Especially the receptionists and their manager Dominic who offered up great help when we forgot our backpacks on the train. He not only helped us find useful information but also file a police report and was there at the police station with us for about 2 hours doing translations! The staff also helped us find lots of fascinating attractions and restaurants, which made our trip a perfect honeymoon despite the earlier incident! We couldn't express enough gratitude to the Leo Grand staff team! Thank you!

The service, staff, the care you've been given is amazing! Especially, the staff made me feel really welcome, the breakfast was amazing with lots of choice and it was fresh. The hotel room exceeds all the expectations, it's clean, decorated smartly. I stayed only one night but I really didn't want to leave, it was such a treat with a bottle of wine as a gift from the hotel. The hotel concept is brilliant, it makes you time travel for sure!

    For a three star Hotel I expected things could go bad easily but this was an amazing experience when you consider the price range! Everything was better than expected for the money because I've been to numerous 3 star Hotels that were just hideous. Lenas Donau is located near (10min walk or 2-3 tram stations that are literally in front of the hotel) U1 line that goes directly to the city centre (approx 20min ride). The room and the bathroom were extremely clean with no dust, hair from previous occupants or broken stuff whatsoever but with that cosy but cheap (in a totally positive way!) feel. All in all, if I ever decide to visit Vienna again, I'll definitely go the Lenas Donau again (unless I become filthy rich and can pay for the fifty-star Hotel or something. Btw. I haven't event tried to park within the Hotel, but there is a car park called WIPARK Parkplatz Schrödingerplatz that's just 5-10 min from the Hotel (half-way to U1 metro line, let's say). Price in 2023 was 5 euros for 24h parking which is great!

    The Hotel Sacher is a beautiful hotel in an exceptionally high-quality traditional style. Our rooms were an oasis aesthetically and functionally designed with the guests' comfort the upper most consideration. The bars and restaurants were a delight with superb drinks and cuisine. We had an exquisite after Opera dinner in the Grune Bar, and, of course, we had to order the famous Sacher Torte in the Cafe Sacher. The hotel breakfast was extensive with a buffet, and a la carte options served in either the gentle morning room or the Grune Bar and was a lovely way to start the day. The staff, regardless of their position, were extremely polite, friendly, and very well trained. All our requests, e.g, for taxis, valet parking, tickets, directions, and advice on attractions, were handled cheerfully and quickly. All these factors have meant that our very happy memories of the Hotel Sacher will not fade.

    The location was fantastic - easy to get to by U-Bahn, near excellent restaurants and naturally, right across the street from Schonbrun!! What could be a better location? The hotel itself is an unbelievable taste of the past - glorious, and sumptuous - elegant, and rich with comfortably upgraded modern amenities. Sitting on our large balcony overlooking the city and its activity, sipping Austrian wine was a fantasy come true!!! The breakfast buffet unparalleled - the shower perfect for we seniors. I loved it and will recommend it anyone I hear of that is going to Vienna. I will also stay there if I, hopefully, get back to Vienna.

    The location of the hotel is excellent, just a 5-7 minute walk from the Wien Mitte railway station. From there, you can easily reach anywhere you want to go. The hotel staff are very supportive; I want to give special thanks to Andrea and Peter, who helped me immensely during my stay. Another nice feature is that while there’s no breakfast provided, you can always find croissants and coffee or tea in the kitchen.

And rooms are comfortable and clean for a very reasonable price. We love it!

    There are too many tourists in central Vienna even very late...

    There are too many tourists in central Vienna even very late in September which makes queuing for everything frustrating and nowhere to sit outdoors in good weather for food - the wurst stands were heaving the Sunday I left. I booked 3nts & did a day trip to Salzburg and Salzkammergut. Salzburg was way more chilled with a wine festival. I didn't have enough time to see the palace or Belvedere so I did the ring road tram self tour on the 24hr pass for €8 & visited Beethoven's house. I booked the CAT from city to airport expecting great things: the lounge area seats were stained, unhelpful staff, the free lockers are always full but the station lockers at Mitte take card and are a reasonable rate (take photo of code): entrance is opposite an escalator coming up from underground at street level. I would take S7 in future. If you are into museums, gardens and concerts then you'll need 3-4 days to really get the best of Vienna. Had I not taken a day trip I would have fitted most things into my 3nt stay. Public buildings are very grand. Canal area is covered in tagging - didn't appeal to me. I also found a Christmas market on the night I arrived in downtown. If you are staying for a lot longer and in the season, there are many types of day trips by train, boat or tour you can take to Hallstatt, Salzburg, Bratislava, Budapest however, I would suggest several days in Budapest.

    We loved Vienna, especially the Belvedere Palace.

    We loved Vienna, especially the Belvedere Palace. The section of Klimt art work is superb and there was a new area all about his life, with photos and letters, which was so informative and interesting. We also enjoyed a wonderful concert at St Charles church.
