My sister and I were visiting our sister who didn't really have room for us, so we thought a few nights at Elite resort would fit the bill for convenience. Wow it did more than that. Accommodation and staff are first rate and great value.

The staff was very friendly and she allowed us to check in early as I told her we all needed some sleep as soon as possible. And she also helped us to upgrade our room as she knew me and my partner just got engaged the day before. The room is spacious and the location of the hotel is very convenient-walking distance to surfer paradise beach. There is one good Thai restaurant (cocohut-suggest to book early to avoid long waiting time)in the next two shops and a worthy try.

    Beautiful beaches the whole way.

Beautiful beaches the whole way. Roads are busy but you can take the light rail and the bike paths are excellent. The surf clubs are excellent options for dining or drinks with an ocean view. Pacific fair in Broadbeach is an excellent and very large shopping mall for clothing especially. Lots of excellent restaurants, particularly in Broadbeach.

Good stay. Room staff not the best. Staff need to freshen room and make bed in morning and not in afternoon. Also leave configuration of bed which was requested ( Double ) and not change to 2 singles. Wife not very happy. Parking of car easy and access to room from Car Park easy.

    Only overnight stay

Only overnight stay As a home stay certain services were presented like communal television room , this meant that you couldn't relax in your room ,especially important when one guest had had a medical procedure that afternoon . We were fortunate to have an en suit. some rooms has to share bathrooms . Communal kitchen for a cup of tea. Other activities were available for guests like jigsaw. Very steep drive for low cars meant park out on foot path Very amazing views and very quiet. Pleasant owners Food available 5 minutes from home

    I loved the tranquility most.

I loved the tranquility most. Currumbin Valley is lush and green, yet it is easy to access both the Gold Coast and Northern Rivers popular tourist destinations. Apart from the expected theme parks, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and a coast full of famous beaches, the Direct Factory Outlet Harbour Town in Biggera Waters would have to be the biggest in Australia. We also visited the Kiva Spa in Mullumbimby. There's now The Banya Bathhouse in Mullumbimby too.

Tallebudgera valley is beautiful and close enough to get to places of interest while being out in the countryside. Spent some time in Burleigh Heads where you can get excellent coffee from Paradox Coffee Roasters. Had a vegan lunch at Izakaya Midori in Reedy Creek, amazing Japanese food. Visited David Fleay's wildlife park - well worth a visit.

We needed a place for the night which was clean and comfortable and the Blue Pelican suited all our requirements as we were not on holiday, just passing through on a long journey. The bed was comfortable, and the rooms was clean and neat. The Club across the road was just right. The BIstro was very well priced and we had a good choice of meals but enjoyed a roast pork dinner.

General cleanliness was good but could have done with a Spring clean ie dust in the blinds, cobwebs in the corners & ants in the kitchenette. The wifi was very poor but wasn’t staying long enough to make an issue of it. The pool did not look inviting and did not look as advertised as many leaves in the pool with filter hose floating around. Garden and back yard looked unkept and nothing like the manicured gardens in the advertisement but the basics were done ie mowed. Door lock code appeared to be working but I was able to get in without a code so it could have become a security issue. These are all minor issues that can be easily fixed so my stay was pleasant otherwise.

Unfortunately as the weather was cyclonic, and we only had a 1 night stay we didn't get to see what the area was like. I can say that the location is absolutely beautiful, high up with amazing views ( as much as I could see through the driving rain). I would love to visit the area again. I found it easy to get to from the M1. One day, I will be back.
