Jindabyne is a great base for a winter ski holiday.
Jindabyne is a great base for a winter ski holiday. Approximately 30 minutes drive to either Thredbo or Perisher. Plentiful accommodation, good cafes and restaurants, lots of ski hire shops, good buzzy atmosphere.Guest review byGarryAustralia - 10.0
We caught the train to Canberra then a coach link to Cooma.
We caught the train to Canberra then a coach link to Cooma. We got off the bus and were so happy to see the town of Cooma. There was plenty of shops and cafes as well as within walking distance from the Motel. We were going there to visit the snowy mountains and had made reservations for the Cooma coaches to transport us to the snow slopes each day. That was easy! On a budget the whole trip was so enjoyable and I cant wait to do it all again!Guest review byCassandra - 6.0
Wonderful ski field and natural area to visit.
Wonderful ski field and natural area to visit. Unfortunately horrendously expensive for everything. Food, drinks, lifts etc. The resort owners also have the majority of the accommodation under their umbrella and hence charge excessively. It no longer has a village feel. Will certainly have to save up for another visit.Guest review byMrs ChgAustralia - 10.0

With less certainty of favourable weather conditions and some lifts not operating towards the end of the season, the price of lift tickets should reflect the percentage of lifts operating for example 100% lifts operating you pay 100% of the price, if only 80% of the lifts are operating then you pay 80% of the price.Guest review byPeterAustralia - 10.0

We stayed at Stillwater Chalet and absolutely loved this place. Well located on the Lakefront. The apartment had a well appointed kitchen, the beds were super comfortable and bed linen was excellent. The resort is so peaceful and has plenty of amenities that you can enjoy using during your stay. There is an abundance of wild life that roam around the resortGuest review byAnonymousIndonesia - 4.0

Avoid! No coffeeshop for breakfast .No restaurant. Very small place. Avoid ! Snowdream Motel Room 6 (1 Queen, 6 bunks, no heating in bathroom, threetimes broken showerscreen, old furniture, outlook of window on rubbish and wood. Owner Michael did not have the reservation by booking. Reception closed until evening, 19.00 hrs. No Wifi due to works. We have a business to attend to, Wifi was precondition to book as advertised. We had booked and paid for 1 week because our daughter lives there, but we left after one night and moved to Jindabyne, asking booking for a refund. So far no answer.Guest review byMichael - 6.0
We stayed near Adaminaby because it was close to Mt Selwyn.
We stayed near Adaminaby because it was close to Mt Selwyn. Poor snow conditions meant we had to drive 2hrs to Corin Forest or Theresbo. Cooma would have been a better choice as more central to snow fields.Guest review byPreston - 10.0
Our stay was absolutely amazing!
Our stay was absolutely amazing! At first, I was a bit concerned about the indoor temperature — we're from Queensland, and single-storey homes can be quite chilly in winter. But to our surprise, the house was beautifully warm and cozy inside. The interior was modern and stylish, and the views from the windows were incredible — we spotted kangaroos, rabbits, sheep, and even caught a glimpse of a fox hunting a rabbit! The location was also ideal — just 10 minutes to Woolworths and about an hour to the snow resorts. Although the accommodation is rated three stars, I honestly don't agree with that. To me, it was a solid five-star experience, no less!Guest review byVitalii ShevtsovAustralia - 6.0

This place is much better in spring and summer, way too crowded in winter and ridiculous prices for everything, car parking is frustrating with small bays and close together with no where near enough spaces, over priced and basic eateries and food, we experienced rude staff to people in one restaurant and don't bother without a booking, they do have a coles if you don't mind fighting through screaming children and crowds.Guest review byCraig - 10.0

Beautiful Town, a visit to Mount Gladstone early morning to see the district and some snow. The fantastic Correctional Facility Museum crammed with a lot of information, run well by the delightful staff there. Raglan Gallery I missed going to Charles Davis gallery which is something to do next time. Great breakfast at 123 Cafe. Lunch with a friend at the Ex-servicemen's club ...delicious food and very friendly staff. The drive to Cooma is also delightful. I would like to have done the Railway museum but it is open on Tuesdays Wednesdays and Saturdays (next time). A shame the rail is still not operating ...Love Cooma...so much more to do.Guest review byGrahamAustralia
