- From US$152 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very good - What previous guests thought, 5,869 reviewsAbsolutely! We had booked a stay with a different hotel 9 minutes away by car but our son’s basketball team all stayed here. So I booked our last night here so we could check out the ocean view and be closer to restaurants and the beach to have the convenience of just walking up for the night vs driving back to the other hotel further out. We all agreed this was the better view, and room. We didn’t stay for breakfast bc we had a game though.Guest review byKaraUnited States
- From US$222.58 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 2,690 reviewsthis hotel is very well located close to the large shopping main street and not far from the beach ( a few hundred meters). Despite the fact the hotel is large and overbooked the breakfacst was perfectly organised with a large staff cleaning the tables as soon as they have been making free . There was a very large choise of everything and it is one of the best breakfast we got in a 4 stars hotel we staid for a while .Guest review byPhilippeFrance

So much to see, very happy with the tour "The dark side of Brussel", so informative. Such a shame that the authorities have let a beautiful site, like the Japanese gardens and Tower go to rot, could have been an excellent guided tour, But the park around is beautiful. The Antwerp tourist office was superb and the staff eager to help and knowledgeable. Everything available through one website and a City Pass that was good value. Transport pass did not require tapping phone every time you use tram or bus, a great boon, saving battery use and keeping phone secure, especially useful when travelling as a tourist.Guest review byNicholasUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Lovely place but have to dig out the best places to eat as that is the case in most touristy places. Loads of history with beautiful architecture and very interesting history everywhere.museums were done in an interesting way. Too many churches but then I am not a believer, at allGuest review byWayne - 10.0

We were so pleased to choose Ghent as our base as it was an authentic and friendly city. We spent 2 days exploring the Castle, a boat tour, Ghent Museum and botanical gardens were all stand outs for us. We also did day trips out to Bruges (22mins by train, great but mor touristy), Brussels (30mins by train), Ostend (40mins by train, Atlantic Wall Museum is well worth it), Ypres (1hr10 by train to learn about WW1). It was lovely to go out and return to lovely Ghent. We walked everywhere but trams, buses and taxis were available. Flemish, French and English are widely spoken and we couldn't have been made to feel more welcome.Guest review byLouisUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Nice places to visit in the city, plenty of restaurants and shops. Sea side is very good and well maintained, very clean. Easy to move around, Tram and train station, all usable with your bank card. Usually plenty of carpark places all over the city. We drove around from here to other city's like Bruge and Ghent and it was fast and it is amazing how they kept the speed limits quite high even in the city. Well done Belgium.Guest review byV - 10.0

We arrived on a Sunday and the taxi dropped us out of town as traffic is restricted on a Sunday jeez indded! It took 30 minutes to trundle our suitcases to the hotel. So, after that initial mishap and feeling like we were in the Truman Show, we thawed and thoroughly enjoyed our 3 days in the city. Lovely people, restaurants and bars. Special shout to De Hoorn restaurant and Malz bar.Guest review byGo.mallUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Blankenberge is for my family a special vacation destination. We like it due to the convenient transport, the train stops in the center of the city. The city is not big and has its charm, by walking it is possible to reach each attraction. The tram allows you to go to the other cities and towns located along the Belgian coast. Therefore, your trip can be even more attractive.Guest review byAnonymousBelgium - 2.0

Our stay was disappointing due to poor cleanliness, inadequate amenities, and understaffing, with malfunctioning air conditioning and privacy breaches. Its inconvenient location led to frequent transportation issues, and unhelpful staff showed little concern despite complaints. Overall, the experience was far from comfortable or restful, and we do not recommend this hotel.Guest review byequbazgiSwitzerland - 10.0

Good choice of restaurants with some posh chocolate shops and good beers. Quite a good range of chain stores and niche smaller shops. Really like its compactness and easy train ride from Brussels. Visit Hasselt tourist centre is about 50m from our hotel Het Menneke. Hasselt Greeters offer free personal introduction to Hasselt. The Japanese Garden, the largest in Europe, is well worth a visit. Best restaurant we found was de Orangerie, sited in a long atrium. Nice menu includes Flemish favourites. Attentive staff. Best bar is Koks&Tales, a slick cocktail bar.Guest review byAdrianUnited Kingdom - 10.0
