Czech RepublicWOW! This was one of my best experiences! Connie is an excellent host, who goes far and beyond! The entire time of our stay, Connie was making sure we were comfortable and happy. We arrived very early in the morning and Connie let us check in without problems. She was always around to have lovely chat, the room was perfect, even small things like putting documentaries about Chobe national park, while she heard us getting ready for the game drive made us feel really comfortable. Connie was so nice and hospitable, that I regretted we didn't come earlier to stay longer.. Unfortunately, we had to proceed to Francistown. I fully recommend POVI Holiday home

GermanyWe had one chalet and 2 people camping next to it. I´d say this one is a very special place on a worldwide scale. You stay in a comfy bed with a warm shower and can watch elephants drinking a the waterhole and sunset. Staff is super nice, too. Owner is a farmer and you can buy pig meat from him. Road is signposted very well and the ¨diversion" that you need to drive to go there between Chobe river and Savuti is way better than the main road. So just perfect place to stay if you drive this route.

South AfricaWe had a wonderful time for our 2 nights in Tent no 1 at Muchenje. From the moment I start to communicate with Hayden... He was so very helpful! Our check in and the staff were very friendly.. The little convenient store was very well stocked !!! More than I expected with good meat and Chicken and fresh Veggies!! And a lot more! The Birdwalk with Stone is not to be missed... He is a wonderful guide.. we saw 50 spesies an 6 lifers!!! Amazing .... The foodplanes were flooded , so we had amazing views and beautiful Sunsets. Thank You Muchenje Campsite.... Hope to see you again!!!

Wonderful interaction with Sofia during the booking process. She always replied very promptly and kindly with tons of useful info about activities , pick up/ drop off , Visa needed to cross bordering countries and anything else I asked her. I appreciated very much the afternoon tea/ coffee station with very tasty home made cookies. The lodge is located close to a village with lots of kids very in need so I would suggest all guests visiting the River View to bring some clothes / shoes/ books / toys for those kids and the property to let everybody aware of this chance upon reservation since it takes really nothing to help them and being rewarded with a big smile !Guest review bymaddalenaItaly

Our room (no 8) was nicely decorated and had a nice little terrace looking into the little garden with a nice restaurant. The food (breakfast & dinner) was very good, the WiFi worked well too. Parking in front of the building (not secluded, but pretty safe). The highlight was the 3 hours boat tour in the afternoon. The hotel has 3 own boats, which are not so big, but ideal to get closer to the animals than the big boats. We saw hundreds of elephants, lots of buffalos, antelopes, hippos and crocodiles. Kasane is a convenient gateway for Chobe safaris, but in terms of accommodation, the variety is quite limited and not as refined as what you'll find in nearby destinations. Muchenje has beautiful shaded level campsites with wonderful exclusive use spotless bathroom facilities, the Staff are professional and communication around your booking is almost instantaneous unlike the Botswana norm. The position is perfect to explore the southern reaches of the Chobe National Park as an alternative to Ihaha, or as a stop between Kasane and Savuti or before Ngoma Gate. It was easy to get around and we were able to get everything we needed. The boat trip on the Chobe River was unforgettable with the river crossing of the elephants and the sun going down! We also visit the Chobe Game Reserve and were able to see many lions, Kudu, impalas and a leopard!!! We did the early morning game drive and visitors must remember to dress warmly!
