It was so nice to be right at the trail head to the Falls and we even did the entire hike to the Ink Pods. The communal BBQ area was perfect and our unit was perfect for having dogs with us as it was one of the back units. Spending time in the mountains is always fantastic. The Grizzly Paw has two locations that were amazing, there was a hidden 'speakeasy' we went to that was so fun. Lots of places for eating and sightseeing all within walking distance of each other. Loved that they close down a section of the main road. We had a beautiful stay. A must do is the walk on the glacier - amazing! Lake Malaigne is a definite must do. See if you can catch a hiking trail - we did the Bald Hills Trail, though it did test our resilience! I paid nearly $800 per night expecting a quiet, nature-focused stay, as advertised on the hotel’s website. Instead, I was first given a noisy room, and then moved to another that smelled strongly of bleach and had a broken window. Despite my allergy, no alternative room was offered. The bleach fumes caused severe headaches that required painkillers, and by the second day, ants had entered the room. We used Leduc as a staging area, before flying home from the Edmonton airport, which is also a very nice airport, with lots of amenities. In that respect, Leduc is full of hotels, restaurants, etc., I.e. all the amenities you may want or need, before driving or flying to your next or final destination. Also, if you rented a vehicle for your trip, you can fill the gas tank up at a reasonable price at Costco or some of the gas stations near the airport (just look on GasBuddy) before returning your rental vehicle.Guest review byGeorgeUnited States - 10.0
