Extremely luxurious, clean, and the staff are above and beyond. My husband and I got married right before our stay and were greeted with congratulations, champagne, strawberries, and roses all over our room. I booked a room but was upgraded to a suite and after 4 nights on the train from Toronto it was a wonderful surprise. The bed was comfy and the room peaceful and I had a good night's sleep. Everyone was very helpful and informative. The facilities were excellent It was possible to walk to the Waterfront and central for sightseeing and only a short taxi from the station. I ate lunch and the food and service were very good. My burger was cooked medium rare just as I like it. I didn't have breakfast as I was leaving early for the train. I would definitely go back when next in Vancouver with or without an upgrade. I was disappointed I didn't have time to check out the pool and sauna.

I was originally going to be here for four nights but unfortunately the WiFi was too slow for me to work here. The - amazing - everything-else outweighs that though if you’re not working while here :) I stayed in the cabin and loved the details, the fireplace, the view (!!), the shower, the bed.. all of it. I had breakfast here and it was also super great, cooked perfectly and clearly good ingredients. (New ownership from what I was told :)) Everyone who worked here was kind and accommodating and they allowed me to cancel after the first night since I couldn’t stay because of the internet. That was very much appreciated! Will be back on a long weekend sans work to stay … and kayak when the weather allows it ✨

Real, real classy hotel and you can easily see that at the front entrance where you're immediately greeted by valet in long stylish black coat. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Entire hotel exudes warmth in low-key luxury decor and definitely worth revisits over and over again if you're looking for a good holiday retreat. Rated No. 1 hotel in Canada in 2021 Visit the Pub if you can and try getting a table by the window with views to the hotel spa / open sea. Food is actually quite good, much exceeded our anticipation.

The harbour area was great, the architecture was beautiful to look at and the parks are gorgeous. We did a whale watching tour and saw many different whales and other wildlife- it was superb. Also it’s a very walkable city, we didn’t use our vehicle as we like to experience and see more on foot.

Kamloops isn't the regular stopping point for many. We made use of the various walks, the Kenna Cartwright park had a fabulous ridge walk. We ate in the Noble Pig, walkable from the accommodation and well worth the visit. Kamloops lake is very popular if you have a boat or like fishing. It is a town of many sports, we even found a "horseshoe" court! Wild deer came into town to eat the overflowing vegetables at the community gardens. A sight to remember

This wasn't our first trip to Nanaimo so we did know our way around most of the city and beyond, but it is always a great place to be. We love the well planned Harbour walkways, many events in the parks, the beach trails. Our favourite beach walks are Piper's Lagoon and Neck Point. There are many good music venues, restaurants, scenic drives and walks. We easily found side roads that were basically parallel to the highway to get to and from downtown. Nanaimo has has a LOT to offer any visitor of any age! Can't wait to return!

Have been to Tofino 3 times now and as a senior I find it to be overpriced and overhyped. If you are young and into the surf scene then Tofino is a must go. Otherwise most of the activities found there (except any unique scenery of course) can be found in less expensive places.
