- From $154.25 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Excellent - What previous guests thought, 1,511 reviewsCamping Jungfrau was undoubtedly one of the biggest surprises of our Switzerland itinerary. In fact, it turned out to be the best place we stayed at during our entire European trip. The view of the waterfall from our window alone was absolutely magical. We also had the chance to dine at Weidstübli, one of the finest Swiss restaurants. But what made the experience truly unforgettable were the people—the staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and accommodating, especially the lady and the two gentlemen at the reception including the owner of the restaurant.Guest review byCherish AnnJapan
- From $317.17 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 301 reviewsA perfect 10! Adelboden is in a most peaceful & serene valley with many activities & viewpoints to enjoy. Yet, it is not over-run with tourists. A respectful, kind & friendly atmosphere prevails. Staff is always there to serve you. Enjoy a fabulous breakfast & quality dinner choices. What a pleasure to return to the Adler after a day’s activities & hit the sauna or whirlpools, then a relaxing swim before dinner. This is a real vacation in my opinion. I am longing to return already!Guest review byJoanUnited States

Interlaken was the “cherry on top” of our European travels.
Interlaken was the “cherry on top” of our European travels. The views were amazing (I’ve never seen 30+ paragliders in the sky…in the ALPs no less!!!), the area was so quaint, the locals friendly; and eating Swiss fondue somehow tastes better from the Alps! Highky recommend cappuccino and breakfast at the Aarburg (Tim & His Wife are awesome & The food not only tastes amazing but each dish is a work of art!) and the Boutique Hotel Bellevue.Guest review byRichardUnited States - 10.0

We stayed for 3-1/2 days mostly hiking in the area in mid-August. Many tourists but manageable. Strongly, strongly suggest buying the Jungfrau Pass so you can access any trains, buses, and cable cars in the entire area. It makes it so easy to get around Grindelwald, Interlaken, Lauterbrunnen, Murren, Wengen, First, and the Eiger. We should have booked a 5 day stay as there were some other hikes and attractions we wanted to take and see. Definitely go to Glacier Canyon and walk it to the end, but take warm clothes as the canyon is quite cool even in August due to the glacial runoff. And for sure visit the base of the Eiger. Suggest you also always get up early and get transport to your destination as late mornings (August) can be very busy and cause long lines.Guest review byParkerUnited States - 6.0

Three days would have been right if the weather had cooperated. We had 3 days of rain and clouds. Did not go to the top of either mountain as it was totally fogged in on all 3 days. We did enjoy the rest of the area, doing what we could in the rain.Guest review byTerryUnited States - 10.0

3 Families sent us exchange students years ago, and we are still friends with all of them, so a lot of visiting. Dinner on the lake, afternoon tea at Schloss Schadau, downtown area by the river. plenty of scenic side trips like the funicular up the Neisen and the Thunerseespiele (musical presented in an outdoor theater overlooking the lake) and plenty of other things to se and doGuest review byFahrniUnited States - 10.0
Quiet village (car-free) in a beautiful location.
Quiet village (car-free) in a beautiful location. Well-served by trains from Lauterbrunnen every half-hour (one of THE scenic rail journeys in the Alps) with connections to Männlichen and Kleine Scheidegg for high-level walking. Easy to reach Mürren, Stechelberg, Gimmelwald, etc., for hiking ... also not far from Interlaken, its two lakes, and good rail connections throughout the country; I did Fribourg and back on a dull day. Wengen itself has lovely local hikes e.g. down to Lauterbrunnen or up to the café at Allmend ... many gorgeous chalets in the village with well-tended gardens and window boxes ... seeing the autumn descent of the cattle from the high pastures was a real highlight of the trip ... On a more everyday note ... the Co-op is open 7 days a week and prices are very reasonable considering that this is Switzerland!Guest review byPhilip and JennyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The apartment was spacious and had a terrific view from the balcony. Free parking was close by and checking in was a breeze. The kitchen was stocked with all the necessities and the refrigerator was good sized. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty of room for 5 adult guests. We could stay here again and highly recommend this property.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Wilderswil was a pleasant surprise. a quiet residential community a few kilometers from Interlaken, the area is quiet and friendly. A short bus ride to the main train station and into the city of Interlaken provides access to the rest of the area. I look forward to returning in the winter to enjoy the surrounding snowfall (hopefully!).Guest review byAlanUnited States - 10.0

Mürren is a quiet village with good access to hikes and access to Lauterbrunnen the mountains and the Schilthorn. We would definitely stay here again. The village though is very expensive so be prepared for high costs for food.Guest review byKarlUnited Kingdom
