There's so much to do in the area. we went summer skiing at the glacier (Stelvio), which was ok (lots of long lines for the button lifts because of the hundreds of ski club teams). But the nearby QC Terme Bagni Vecchi was amazing. Would like to have stayed longer for hiking and mountain biking. Very nice little town and beautfil surroundings.Guest review byLu KoUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Beautiful countryside and perfect for walking or cycling in the hillsides around the village, plus some really nice restaurants open late into the evening filled with people who all appeared to be having a good time. Also great to be able to do some duty free shopping.Guest review byBruceUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I only had two short, separate overnighters so tired on arrival. I would have liked more time to explore the old town in daylight and also visit Arosa by train. The cathedral is beautiful and a must see. My sense of direction is poor but google maps made it easy to orientate myself.Guest review byGran-joUnited Kingdom - 8.0
St Moritz is a "to-do" once in your life.
St Moritz is a "to-do" once in your life. There are lots of shops, good restaurants and great scenery BUT without skiing and the winter landscape St Moritz is not that special - nice place to visit but over-priced - one day and one-night during summer is sufficient to scratch the visitor's itch. Staying at St Moritz-bad is a bit cheaper whilst still close to everything and an easy walk to the big-name shops and good restaurants. Getting around by local bus (including to-from Bahnhof) is super easy, except the on-bus electronic ticket machines can be difficult. We stayed one-night and one-day and thoroughly enjoyed it.Guest review byAllanAustralia - 10.0

I arrived on the afternoon of a festival where the one-way Promenade was traffic free. With many street food stalls, music and a lot of public. The walk around the lake was enjoyable and also a trip up to Jakobshorn of reduced ticket prices (Fr. 18.- return, make sure that at the top you can get through the turnstile and not pay for the downhill journey like we did. Got a refund at the cash desk at the bottom though) for hotel guests with the tourist card. Also free travel on the the nostalgic train to Filisur and back and on all buses was a bonus. Scenery is splendid, and if you're a train enthusiast, it's the place to be for the Bernina or Glacier Express. Can recommend a bite to eat or just Coffee and Cake at Kaffee Klatsch on the Promenade. Schatzalp is just a funicular away and you'll feel lifted back to the beginning of the last century.Guest review byJeanetteSwitzerland - 10.0
Bad Ragaz: A Renowned Spa Destination
Bad Ragaz: A Renowned Spa Destination Nestled in the Swiss Alps, Bad Ragaz is famous for its thermal springs and world-class wellness retreats. The town’s Tamina Therme offers beutifully designed thermal baths sourced from the nearby Tamina Gorge, a tradition dating back to the Middle Ages. Beyond its spa culture, Bad Ragaz boasts stunning alpine scenery, a golf course , and a charming village atmosphere.Guest review byMary JoSwitzerland - 10.0

Cleanliness, well proportioned room with a fridge and lovely bathroom.Easy parking outside. There are no staff on site and the contact no was out of service. This is a self service hotel and is best viewed as a bed for the night or longer if you use the local cafes and eateries for your sustanance. The hotel has alot of character with a games room and a bar .Being out of season it was very quite and the bar was not in use.I would go again the only issue I had was not being a tec head was getting into the hotel. You need to go to the link on your confirmation e mail to check in to get the access code and room no.Not always easy at journeys end and being awake for 28 hrs.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Love the facilities for mountain biking and they are only going to get better. Everything is to hand, loads of car parking, supermarket, excellent bike hire facilities, bar near by. Seems great for families (I travelled alone but folk seemed to be having a great time). Safe and secure area.Guest review byyorickUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Lenzerheide was beautiful and clean.
Lenzerheide was beautiful and clean. The lake is great for walking around, and the mountains amazing. Take the gondola up to the very top! Everywhere we eat was good. If you are going self service remember that the shops close on a Sunday.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Chiavenna, nestled in the heart of the Italian Alps, is a gem of natural and cultural beauty. Its medieval old town enchants with narrow, cobblestone streets lined by historic stone buildings, exuding a timeless charm. The Mera River flows gently through, reflecting the surrounding snow-capped peaks and lush green valleys, especially breathtaking at sunrise or sunset. Waterfalls like the Acquafraggia cascade dramatically nearby, adding to the area’s wild allure. The town’s vibrant piazzas, filled with quaint cafes and local artisans, pulse with authentic Italian life. Ancient churches and palaces, like Palazzo Vertemate Franchi, showcase intricate architecture. Surrounded by hiking trails and vineyards, Chiavenna blends serene alpine scenery with rich history, creating a captivating, soul-stirring destination.Guest review byBeth EllenUnited States
