    The view from our room was excellent, the lake, swans, ducks, snowed mountains and boats were amazing. The location was extraordinary, we could walk everywhere we wanted to go. The front desk staff were amazing. Artemisa, Leandro and Bruna were very kind and helpful, they went above and beyond to help us and gave us what we needed and everyone from room service helped us as well. I would like to thank everyone for their hard work in making our stay so welcoming and wonderful, we really appreciate it.     This is one of those rare hotels where everything is perfect. The bedrooms and ensuite are impeccably done. Very comfortable beds. Quiet surroundings for restful sleep. Truly perfect. The pool is an exceptional facility, accessible by elevator on each floor. The different lounging areas (bar, library, and endless terraces) were lovely and inviting. The staff meet the highest standards and are professional without being stuffy. A brilliant choice for a relaxing stay with panoramic views of Lac Leman.

    We really felt like we stayed in a palace. The building is gorgeous. Our room has balcony. Bed was comfy. It was very quiet, no noise at all. Spacious bathroom with shower and Bath tub. You can tell this palace has been there for a while - but room looks good d anyway and it has its own charm. We also got free passes on public transport in this area. There is a restaurant on -1 floor- we were lucky to try special seasonal meals- they were delicious.

    Geneva now is much more a touristic city versus some years ago. City itself has places to visit, and also is well located. In 1 hour of train trip or car driving, you can reach interesting locations around. Also, good to mention that Swiss authorities did a lot of progress in making Swiss cities safe. Police is everywhere. Some years ago was a raising big problem with French Immigrants Criminal Gangs which were stealing in Swiss boarder cities.

    I had returned to Lausanne mainly to get the fast train to Dijon. I ended up spending much of my time strolling the waterfront and eating crepes at Ouchy because the town center shuts down on Sundays and museums are closed Mondays.

    After visiting bigger towns, Montreux was a refreshing quieter cousin. Made the most of the Montreux travel pass. Allowing free bus and train travel as far as Vervey. I would suggest when travelling by train further afield to get help from the ticket office, as this will save you money. The free Queen Studio tour is worth a visit, located in the Casino. Boat trips are a must, we did a circular 2.5 hr one and it was worth paying the small amount extra for the first class. Chateaux Chillon is worth a visit, and only a 40 minute stroll back to the town, along the beautiful shore of lake Geneva.

    Evian-les-Bains in June, during what should be peak tourist season, felt unexpectedly lifeless. Many stores appeared permanently closed, and the town lacked any real atmosphere after early evening—by 10pm, only the casino restaurant was still serving food. This left few options for late dining or entertainment. Given these circumstances and the general sense of a closed-up town, I would not recommend visiting Evian-les-Bains, especially if you're expecting a lively lakeside resort experience. While some guides and official tourism pages highlight Evian's attractive lakefront, Belle Époque architecture, and potential activities along the lake and nearby outdoors, recent firsthand accounts confirm a lack of vibrancy and operational businesses, even in traditionally busy months. For travelers who prioritize a bustling atmosphere and broad dining options long into the evening, it may be better to look elsewhere.

    Lovely location on shore of Lake Leman. Plenty restaurants and cafes within walking distance of each other. Train station and ferry port easy to reach. Picturesque area, lovely for walking around. Easy to take a ferry trip to France also!

    Spectacular view of the Lake and local vineyards.

    Spectacular view of the Lake and local vineyards. Hotel offered free onsite parking, close to the train station and free travel pass on the trains to town. The room and bathroom are clean and welcoming. Convenient restaurant next door with a fabulous menu.

    Really nice location in this nice old town area.

    Really nice location in this nice old town area. Simple and comfortable hotel. No AC but a portable fan was in the room that worked well. Windows opened for cooling. They did smoke in the walkway and that would enter the roof now and again. Front desk employees were very nice and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

    The village of Chexbres is neatly placed within the...

    The village of Chexbres is neatly placed within the vineyards overlooking Lake Leman, with Evian in the distance. A few restaurants and coffee shops serve mainly the locals with English not widely spoken. A Co Op supermarket and convenience store also at hand. The train to Vevey is on hand to give access to main line trains toward Geneva and other destinations such as Montreux. In the summer months the local pool is available with children's pool and sand pit plus lanes for adults, also a on site restaurant/coffee shop.
