Just got back our month long honeymoon and this was our favourite hotel we stayed in. We were in the Matterhorn Junior Suite and it was just gorgeous, so comfortable and cosy but spacious. Nice view of the Matterhorn. A bit obstructed by the building in front BUT that didn’t really take away from the view, just made the room feel more private. Room service food was excellent, included breakfast was great and service overall was fantastic. Couldn’t fault the location, central to pretty much everything. Room was a bit warm the first night but we were advised to open a window which we did, no issues after that. Great for the environment! Booked massages and used the spa a few times, so relaxing and everything you need at all times is provided including refreshments, extra towels, etc. Will 100% be staying here again if we come back.Guest review byAdeleAustralia

Included in our tariff was a well presented buffet and continental breakfast. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly and received great service by the check in staff. We were picked up in an electric vehicle from the train station and taken to the hotel. Afternoon tea was provided free of charge. They have 2 restaurants, a SPA and pool area. There is an elevator and stairs. Our room was perfect, comfortable bed with soft pillows. Bar fridge contents was included in our tariff with daily top up. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night visit. The young lady at the reception assisted me when I needed to print off some pending itinerary, all done with a smile and no trouble at all attitude. The staff is very attentive, well-trained, and responsive to all requests and wishes. A wonderful small spa with a perfect jacuzzi pool for relaxation. I recommend coming around 6 PM, as the main influx of visitors decreases by then. The breakfasts are simply amazing. We had dinner there once – everything was great as well, but it's best to reserve a table in advance. Apparently its just 3 years old but I love that they are very particular with the details such as the fur coat to keep you warm, the fur slippers (which are both faux fur btw). We got the room with the Matterhorn view and it was absolutely stunning. Especially when you want to see the Matterhorn glowing in sunrise and you dont want to get out of the hotel room yet! It was quite pricey for one night but we thought it was absolutely worth every penny. Great little village with no cars, only small electric vehicles. Great food, good shopping and stunning views of then Matterhorn. Nice to walk the streets with no worry of traffic. There was a small group of older local musicians dressed in traditional clothing who played at a location and then moved on to another location to play. Unfortunately there was heavy cloud cover the two days I was there and didn’t see the Matterhorn at all. Web cams at top showed nothing so didn’t go up. Gornergrat trip was worthwhile and good views of everything except the Matterhorn.i enjoyed walking round the old town. We had exceptional weather 26 degrees and no clouds, so the Gornergrat is a MUST DO in these conditions. Even paragliding should be considered. The town isn't big, so a good walk around is a great introduction, beware of the electric bikes as you walk down the high street !
