Excellent hotel - location, service, home-cooked quality fresh cuisine using home-grown vegetables and fruits. Fresh juices for breakfast - watermelon, melon, orange - mmm... Free bike rental and magnificent bike paths around the lake through the most beautiful places. 10 minutes to the city center by taxi, fast and cheap. The view from the room window and the view from the roof at dawn are a spesial love! A lot of thanks to the entire staff, including the owner Michelle, Lilly. Thank you for our great holiday! ps. and also! we unexpectedly got to a free master class on making dumplings, it was super!

A superb hotel well situated in a small village, but with easy access to Guilin city. Located in a quiet, peaceful setting, the village has many facilities and you can easily walk to the neighbouring villages following the nature trail, with no cars to worry about. Delicious food is available at nearby restaurants, all within a short walking distance of the hotel. The staff are fantastic; really helpful & lovely people. They provided us with many ideas for days out exploring the local area. The breakfast is delicious & hotel facilities are excellent. The hotel staff kept our luggage safe, for free, while we went off for a few days to explore other parts of China. Everything about this hotel is exceptional.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at an Bonjour boutique Hotel and I must say, it was an experience that exceeded all my expectations. From the delicious halal cuisine to the comfortable accommodation, friendly staff, and exceptional service, every aspect of my stay left me thoroughly impressed. First and foremost, the highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the mouthwatering halal meals (they prepared especially according to our culture)provided in the morning.The hosts went above and beyond to ensure that each meal was not only prepared with love and care but also represented the rich flavors of authentic Arab cuisine. The variety of dishes offered was extensive, catering to different preferences and dietary requirements. Each meal was a culinary delight that I savored to the last bite. Moving on to the accommodation, the rooms were well-furnished and thoughtfully decorated, providing a cozy and welcoming ambiance. The attention to detail was evident in every corner, from the comfortable bedding to the tasteful decor that reflected the local culture. The cleanliness was impeccable, which significantly contributed to the overall comfort and relaxation during my stay. The hospitality and professionalism of the staff deserve special mention. The entire team was not only friendly and warm but also genuinely dedicated to making our stay as pleasant as possible. Their readiness to assist in any way they could, whether it was arranging transportation, suggesting local attractions, or answering our queries, made us feel truly valued and pampered throughout our stay. It was evident that the staff's top priority was ensuring our satisfaction and creating a memorable experience for guests. Aside from the wonderful amenities and outstanding service.The hotel is situated in a peaceful neighborhood, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, it provided the perfect respite from the daily grind. The hotel is located in a very beautiful part of Yangshuo, really charming with exceptional view of the river. We had a great time at the Sugar House. All of the staff were helpful and friendly, particularly Sarah, who went out of her way to help us in organizing driver and booking trips and activities that we wanted to go on. The restaurant is excellently decorated, food in both breakfast, and dinner is truly delicious. We had booked half board, the chef has provided us with different set menu each evening, showcasing Guangxi cuisine, and some dishes are exceptional. The redesign of a an old sugar factory as a hotel has been realized extremely well, bringing contemporary post modernist design to a beautiful setting in the Yangshuo landscape. Highly recommended as a place to stay for exploring the amazing Yangshuo landscape.

We arrived at the train station in Guilin, planning to go to the Rice terraces by bus or taxi. However, because we don't know Chinese, we didn't know exactly all the details of the route (we did everything at last moment, don't repeat). So we booked this hotel at the last minute, largely because May speaks English. Almost immediately she helped us with a taxi at a good price. It turns out that if you call Didi to the village, you have to pay the taxi driver to enter the rice terraces, as most drivers don't have one. Pingyang is a very authentic village, there were minimal tourists in the village when we visited, for us it was an amazing experience. We decided to stay for two nights, to enjoy the mountain views and the fresh clean air. May is a true angel, we trusted her 100%, she helped us in so many situations. The hotel lobby with stunning wood furniture, unbelievably beautiful! Tourist tip: Come to Pingan, stay overnight and hike to Dazhai early in the morning. Enjoy the views and the silence. Have lunch in Dazhai and take a car back to Pingan.

    Great hotel! Perfect location between two villages, close to the parking lot, comfortable rooms, friendly family - owners of the hotel. They do best they can to make our trip unforgettable. Local food, care and outstanding support is the value added to the room reservation in this hotel. In details: (1) Hotel location is more convenient, then most others, because just ~300 meters from the parking lot /bus stop; (2) easy to find Hotel, because it is exactly on the main road (3) there is awesome view from rooms with balcony (as we had🥳) (4) there is convenient path to main attraction in this area - Nine dragons and five tigers point view - MUST see (5) during the stay we been surrounded by Jason and his wonderful family - it’s really untypical personal touch. And i would like to highlight super delicious dishes from Jason’s mother in law😍 PS: several words about travelling there in december, as we did - weather is convenient for hiking, because no mud, no rain, and soft sunny. Another “gift” it is very very few tourists. Rare terraces with water, except which i mentioned above “must see” - we been surprised. And Christmas eve lightning show was amazing😍

    This hotel is amazing in every way. The location is perfect as it is only a short drive to the main town with plenty of shops and restaurants (West Street) and can be reached easily by using DiDi or the hotel will help you but it is on a quiet road opposite the river with hiking/biking paths. Along these paths are numerous little pop up coffee shops, including 2 right opposite the hotel. The hotel has bikes you can hire. The staff went over and above to make our stay perfect. They are all so friendly and helpful and really care about their guests. Suzy and the rest of the staff arranged tickets and drivers to Xing Ping Ancient town, the Sanjie Liu Night Show and Ruyi Peak Cable Car. Nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are very clean and the beds extremely comfortable, they even had electric blankets. The views from the rooms are just incredible. This hotel was absolutely perfect for our trip and I can’t wait to come back.

    The Giggling hotel has great location at the Yulong river. we rented electric scooters to ride along this river. you can also ride to Yangshuo downtown. Kids like the outside swimming pools a lot. they swim twice a day. the large one is 1,40m deep. food is excellent and affordable (chinese and western). kids like the french fries with self made chicken nuggets a lot, we ate other chinese food, all very delicious (salads, eggplant, lemon chicken etc). Employees are very friendly and help with everything. Large rooms have good airconditiing, large comfortable beds (with mosquito nets if needed) and bathrooms are large and very comfortable and stylish. we also took taxi to Guilin (sevenstars park and downtown) and ofcourse we also went to ride boat on the Li river and to dazhai longji rice terraces. Swimming pool was a big suprise and big PLUS.

    A group of 3 friends traveling in China. We have found our stay at Bamboo Lead extremely pleasant, the staff was very nice and very helpful. Small and cozy western and Chinese breakfast, in a room with an amazing view on the mountains. The crepes were stunning! Also highly recommend the room service, we had cheese and cold cuts boards and the quality was very good (especially for China standards) and the price very good. Also very good selection of wine and their prices. The rooms were very comfortable and cozy, we have highly appreciated the use of recyclable and eco friendly tools, which is very rare in China. Very good taste also in the choice of furnitures. The hotel is a few minutes bike ride away from the center of Yangshuo, yet in a better, less touristy and more secluded area to enjoy some rest and peace. Highly recommended!

    everything is wonderful. Staffs are polite, friendly, and kind. They served me a fresh fruit juice while waiting for check-in process and gave me a souvenir when checking out. They use Chinese and English. You can see Guilin Karst mountains from windows all day. Amenities perfect.     The view is superb!

    The view is superb! I have never seen anything like this in my life. The locals are kind and ready to help. Very safe to travel by family or alone. It's best to spend a week there and explore the region by renting a local electric scooter .     Nanning is a beautiful city.

    Nanning is a beautiful city. We enjoyed an evening exploring the streets around the hotel even though there were quite a large roadwork project going on. We only spent one full day in the city to fit in at the end of our 15 day visa free viit to China. Qinxiushan scenic area is quite stunning and a beauitiful place requiring a full day to fully appreciate. There is a lot more to see in and around Nanning so we may need to return one day!

    UNESCO site. Beautiful landscapes. wear proper hiking waterproof shoes. Raincoat for rainy days in March. plan to spend at least 2 nights. book rides with the Hotel to facilitate the arrival process...visitors have to pay entrance fee to the Ping On village. there is a ticket office and security gate for this purpose. travel light and enjoy its natural beauty.

    Something important to mention is that the map location on booking.com didn't correspond with the actual location of the hotel I stayed in! so this is something to double check and rectify! Beihai old town was fantastic and shopping for pearls and eating out was wonderful-there are beautiful souvenirs, great food and architecture and it is the best place to buy pearls (bracelets, rings, necklaces, broaches etc...) A trip to the nearby Weizhou island is quite the treat but the actual beaches in Beihai seem to get way too/ridiculously crowded in the Summer and seem to be in a state of development with lots of construction taking place next to them!

    Lao Dongjiang rice noodles are very close, highly recommended, they have local flavors that locals like to eat. This street is a street I visited, Shijiayuan Road, there are many snacks, etc. Opposite the hotel is Elephant Trunk Hill, Two Rivers and Four Lakes, which is very suitable for walking and taking pictures. It is beautiful during the day and even more beautiful at night.

    It’s the provincial capital of Guangxi Autonomous Region so there’s a lot economic and social activity going around. Lots of entertainment venues and good infrastructure and transportation services to navigate around the city. Just remember to keep some loose change if you’re taking the bus since the phone payment systems only work for Chinese citizens.

    Beautiful, underrated, I should have stayed one more night. It was very easy to get around and the entire village at Ping'an has English and Chinese signage all on farming/hiking trails. I can't believe how empty the village is and part of me is concerned that not enough tourists are visiting even though I loved the serenity of it. Many stores/hotels were empty or closed, perhaps due to COVID-19.

    guilin is a famous tourist attraction, things to do include a river cruise, visits of the rice terraces, tea plantation, seven star park, or a river walk around sun&moon twin. might be rather crowded in high tourist season. be aware of the e-scooters, which are just everywhere and don't follow the traffic rules. besides this, it's save to walk, also on ones own, even at night. if you don't speak chinese, find a travel guide, who makes the booking and organises the tickets for you.
