Also the size of the room is very spacious, and 3 people can stay comfortably. They have LAGO restaurant, which is Italian and has amazing views of the Bund. In room service is also very good. Arrived from Beijing where the are many cultural landmarks to see, which made Shanghai feel a bit flat. The skyscrapers and all the lights are incredibly impressive, but I didn't feel as though there was much to do besides shopping and eating. The view from the Bund is great, but the view from the Pudong side is also nice, especially at night. The metro system really makes it easy to get around the city. The building was very old and poorly maintained. The appearance of the elevators was terrible, and I felt embarrassed in front of my guests. The breakfast was average, and the refills were not done on time. The English proficiency of the hotel staff was very poor and unacceptable. They only accepted Chinese banknotes for the deposit!!!
