Located in the old town of Limassol there are plenty of fabulous restaurants and bars a stones throw away, as well as a short walk to the more modern harbour and beaches. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good and the restaurant and bar are stunning places to eat, drink and relax. There is even a stunning olive tree in the middle of the dining room. Secure parking on site available too which is a bonus. It is in an ideal location about 0.5km from the sea, but with amazing views of the Cyprus country side and Troodos mountains. The gardens are beautifully kept and very pleasant on the eye. Everybody I have spoken to loves the place, although I would imagine it’s not for teenagers as the Hylatio is a little remote and not a lot goes on in the Pissouri Beach area. That said, the Hylatio does put on evening events about 3 to 4 nights a week and the bar stays open until 1am. There are some great restaurants nearby. The hotel is charming, everything is clean and the room are fabulous. We chose one of the rooms with the Jacuzzi and it was so worth it. We turned off all lights, light up all the free candles around the room and had a very romantic time. I was expecting more people in Platres during the summer month of may but unfortunately the place looked deserted. Very few restaurants were open to have lunch and dinner, and sometimes the quality was very avarage. It was very good to discover a small medieval town away from mass tourists who are only there to sunbathe. We were interested in learning the history of Cyprus, Lofou offered other aspects of Cyprus other than the sea, swim and sun. We love Omodos as a stay over place ie one night. The village is beautiful with a lot of history. In my opinion it’s one of the nicest villages in Cyprus. Full of history too with a small free museum that is extremely interesting. The village is small so you can walk around it in a very short time and it’s so beautiful you really should walk around. For night life, most restaurants and the bakers close around 6.30pm ish. There are a couple of places that open til midnight on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Agros village is a perfect place to escape from busy city life for a couple of days and to enjoy the tranquility of traditional village lifestyle, walk the narrow streets, with beautiful , authentic architecture, meet locals, try local food and of course to recharge yourself with nature and mountain sceneries. Potamitissa itself doesn’t have things to do. However, villages such as Pelendri, Agros, Kyperounta are near by and have plenty of things to do.
