Barcelona is a very beautiful city. I haven’t been there for about 8 years and have noticed that it is very crowded in the Rambles area. The further away from Las Ramblas you go the less crowded it is. If you don’t like crowds I would stay in a different area, but if it doesn’t bother you and you want to be in the center of everything I would recommend staying in the gothic quarter.Guest review byKerryUnited States - 10.0

Use the hop on hop off bus - to get your bearings. Investigate the train system to understand the different lines. The venikula was a great way to get down or up the hill where we stayed. Nice is centrally located on the French Riviera. The city offers alot of sights, beaches and restaurants while also providing easy access East and West to Monaco/Monte Carlo, Cannes, and St. Tropez by train or by car. Rent a small car and enjoy the coast. Parking is under the next door hotel/casino. 10-15 minutes from the airport. Beach Lounge chairs do fill up by early afternoon. Marseille is a busy city with plenty of excellent restaurant especially in the Vieux Port area. This means that there's an incentive for them to provide good and reasonably priced food and drink. If you want top eat with a sea view, there's a premium for this - we did that during the day, but at night we went onto the back streets where there were many restaurants offering a three course menu for €26.
