Their staff deserve a special mention as every single one, from the very accommodating lady at reception to the very helpful gentleman serving breakfast, goes above and beyond to make their guests' stay as enjoyable as possible. The location is simply wonderful, tucked away on a little peninsula close to the old town surrounded by allotments and beautiful river landscapes. Our kids always enjoy a splash on the river beach which is safe as quite shallow, there is also a lovely little playground to keep them busy. Also surprisingly it was not as far from the centre as I imagined, a beautiful walk alongside the lake, then a short walk across the park to Tram line 6 or to the train station. I imagine most people staying here would take taxis, but for those who have saved for a special treat, that it is accessible by public transport may be useful info. There is a fair at night in the park, far away enough not to hear it, but close enough to walk, which my daughter loved. The fitness rooms & spa area are fantastic! 3 floors & superbly designed with views onto the park. Swimming outside in a heated pool in the rain was a very special experience. Touring the Mercedes Benz factory or visiting the outstanding Emigration Museum in Bremerhaven or taking a tour of the mediaeval Town Hall. Bremen is quite small with a few attractions.
Bremen is quite small with a few attractions. It's easy to visit everything in a day. Apart from the old town, Bremen seems to be quite rough though so you wouldn't want to linger. Good point is that it's just a couple of hours from Hamburg and Cuxhaven, which can be visited as day trips. We enjoyed walking around the harbour but we bought a boat trip and the address on the ticket was the office of the company not the departure so we missed the boat! Please be careful and see if you have the correct address. Bremen is a good weekend hangout place. Obviously, depends on the company you are with, the weather, and the place you chose to spend your nights in. I would strongly recommend Parkhotel Bremen as it gives you that exact mix of pleasant stay in a great location, amazing Spa facilities and, if you are at all into smoking cigars, a very nice Cigar Lounge.Guest review byAlexanderLatvia - 10.0

Two excellent museums, especially the maritime only a seven minute walk from apartment. Separately a WW II restored U Boat. Very nice small zoo plus Klima Haus, a major attraction. All within walking distance. Delphi Greek Restaurant a short walk is wonderful and amazingly inexpensive( a dinner for six with a drink each, 125 Euros.Guest review byHerrington
