Clounys is essentially a tiny five-star-hotel. At least that is how the interior feels. Every handle, every piece of furniture and every surface is of high quality, designed by Bielefelder Werkstätten, I have been told. Especially the beds and bedding are amazing. The staff is very friendly and relaxed, they have a sense of humor and are informal. Please stay like that. There is also a top notch restaurant, which offers delicious food throughout the day. Clounys is right next to a subway station and since it is located in a shopping street, there is everything you need for a perfect northern Hamburg stay in 3 minute walking distance: supermarket, dry cleaner, pharmacy, undertaker. Also, minutes away: The beautiful Alsterpark, which feels more like an old growth forest.

Everything 😊 Hotel very very beautiful (the idea of changing an old school to a Hotel like this AMAZING Parking a lot of spaces ro parc, even if the parking behind the Hotel is full (75places) there are many other places around to parc the car. The rooms where just amazing. Ok may be for some people expensiv (140€/night) BUT if you are 2 people its only 70€ and for that Price YOU GET BREAKFAST INCLUDED and a reallly reallly nice room with a big Shower. WiFi is free and works perfect. Breakfast in the morning is amazing for this price. You have many choices. Stuff were really friendly amd informal. They hslp you wherever and with whatever you need as Information.

It was probably the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I usually use 4+ stars hotels, had more luxurious ones, but here everything was just perfect. The staff was super helpful. The room felt home-like. Sapacious, too. I didn’t find a single issues during my stay.

Breakfast is amazing, with pancakes & omlettes at your choice. Facilities are also excellent. From the airport S1 takes you to Stadhausbrücke, which is 6 min.from the hotel, so, everything fits perfect !

    Hamburg offers a wealth of wonderful museums and classical music venues and is very easy to get around. Buy a three or five day public transport pass at the airport or train station: you will still clock up daily steps as there is so much to see! Lubeck is only an hour away by train and perfect for a day-trip - although there is enough to fill two or three days if you want to do justice to the Hansemuseum and the art gallery.

    Delightful city.

    Delightful city. Great food, walks -- both urban and along river, through forests. Extremley tourist friendly and you will have no problems eating out, shopping, asking people for help if you get lost as people are very kind. Or at least that was my experience. There is a quiet sophistication to the city and there is much to see in the downtown area, and enjoy riverside cafes. I must say I did not expect to enjoy Hamburg as much as I did.

    This was our first time in Hamburg and I am very impressed.

    This was our first time in Hamburg and I am very impressed. We were only there for 1 day and a half, but could easily stay a whole week to experience everything. Recommedation: Take the city tour hop on hop off bus, do a full circular route (90 minutes) and make notes of where you would want to spend more time. Then take the bus again (ticket is valid for the whole day) and get off at specific interest points. This will take a whole day. Definitely do the Miniature wonderland. But again, put aside a lot of time for this. This place is incredible!!! Do one floor (2 hours), have lunch, and then do the other floor. (2 hours). Take ferry 62, its included in public transport. Great way to see the city from a different angle.
