Everything! The staff were super friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out. Our room was perfectly laid out and clean and perfectly appointed. Loved the windows to the street. It was warm and cozy when we wanted and nice and cool when we needed it to be. One of the best rooms I’ve ever slept in. The bed was amazing! Live the location as it wasn’t in the hustle and bustle of downtown. The train station is right outside the front door so not is easy to get anywhere you want. No parking lot but there is street side parking all over the place. If we return to Hamburg, we will be staying at Clouneys!

The service was exceptional. Justina and her colleague Fabian made us feel welcome and was very helpful and professional. The location is excellent. While in the Old Town section, the S-Baun stop is literally across the street. It is two stops to the main rail station and two stops the other direction for the harbor which is the hub for many tourist attractions. Less than a block behind the hotel are two good restaurants. The hotel itself has a lavish formal resturant. The hotel is like a palace inside and out, being an adaption of a government building from the early 1900s. No two guest rooms are alike and have unique layouts and designs. The room included a combined washer/dryer in addition to a free laundry room. The tasteful sauna includes a changing room, cool-down relaxation room, and gym. When you take into account all the free extras, service, location, and architecture, it was well worth any slight premium.

    This boutique hotel was our favorite of our Germany trip. The adorable accessories were all available for purchase in the gift shop and we definitely bought a lot! It was perfectly clean, very spacious and fun for our whole family. The kids had a private bunk room in our room that was their favorite! They also had a lot of special touches for children such as tiny hangers and a separate toiletry box for them in the bathroom. We booked this primarily for the location to the Miniature Wonderland museum but would rebook just to stay in this adorable hotel again! The staff was absolutely amazing, kind, and accommodating.

    I've been coming to the Superbude for over 10 years and the basic equation hasn't changed. Funky vige, great value, small but comfortable rooms and convenient location. The walls are thick and there never seem to be any noise issues. The Superbude is popular it's advisable to book well in advance.

    Hamburg offers a wealth of wonderful museums and classical music venues and is very easy to get around. Buy a three or five day public transport pass at the airport or train station: you will still clock up daily steps as there is so much to see! Lubeck is only an hour away by train and perfect for a day-trip - although there is enough to fill two or three days if you want to do justice to the Hansemuseum and the art gallery.

    Delightful city.

    Delightful city. Great food, walks -- both urban and along river, through forests. Extremley tourist friendly and you will have no problems eating out, shopping, asking people for help if you get lost as people are very kind. Or at least that was my experience. There is a quiet sophistication to the city and there is much to see in the downtown area, and enjoy riverside cafes. I must say I did not expect to enjoy Hamburg as much as I did.

    This was our first time in Hamburg and I am very impressed.

    This was our first time in Hamburg and I am very impressed. We were only there for 1 day and a half, but could easily stay a whole week to experience everything. Recommedation: Take the city tour hop on hop off bus, do a full circular route (90 minutes) and make notes of where you would want to spend more time. Then take the bus again (ticket is valid for the whole day) and get off at specific interest points. This will take a whole day. Definitely do the Miniature wonderland. But again, put aside a lot of time for this. This place is incredible!!! Do one floor (2 hours), have lunch, and then do the other floor. (2 hours). Take ferry 62, its included in public transport. Great way to see the city from a different angle.
