- From US$446.59 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 404 reviewsWe enjoyed a short romantic break. The location was perfect for this purpose. The hotel is located in a beautiful area of the Harz, surrounded by a wonderful forest. However, it was easy to find the hotel and, as we were travelling by car, we were able to easily get around and visit Stolberg, the Rose Park in Sangerhausen and other interesting places. The hotel grounds are also incredibly beautiful. Although the lower park was closed due to the construction of the new swimming pool, our room nevertheless faced the front of the hotel grounds and we enjoyed the view undisturbed. The breakfast and dinner were super lovely with an excellent selection of food. Perhaps the restaurant should consider displaying the wine bottles when they only serve a glass of wine, instead of bringing a glass already filled with wine to the table from outside. The wellness area with swimming pool is excellent. I had a facial and a massage. And it lived up to the highest expectations. I would definitely do it again if I had a longer stay.Guest review byJuliaDenmark
- From US$232.48 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 1,036 reviewsI had no idea how divine the town and this hotel would be. The hotel was located in an historic part of town, exuded tradition and history, was warm and inviting in entry with a lovely lounge and fireplace. The rooms were nice, a touch traditional, and the bathrooms modern and functional. Heating was good but you could also open the windows which I love. There was a great heating rack which we all want. The restaurant was fantastic and breakfast was served in a lovely room with all the touches you’d expect and more. All the staff were wonderful.decor was great too. Parking was free.Guest review byMurrayAustralia

Fantastic town to walk around with oodles of old buildings tastefully maintained/restored. Plenty of opportunity to shop, although is seems this time of year, late September, things are slowing down and not every place is open. Had a great meal at the Zum Bar Hotel, you'll want to dine here at least once!Guest review byPeterAustralia - 10.0

Goslar is a surprisingly beautiful town, boasting thousands of well-preserved medieval houses in its charming Old Town. Its meticulously maintained architecture makes it a unique destination in the Harz mountain region of Germany, offering a perfect blend of history and natural beauty. Braunlage has a lot to offer, nice walks, and we loved the monster roller activity on the mountain. Puppe's bar is a really nice place to drink. And you have a great choice of nice restaurants. Reservation is required, especially the best rated restaurants on trip advisor are usually completely occupied. You can do some nice shopping too. We visited Quedlinburg, Halberstadt, Goslar, bad Harzburg, Thale and Weringerode, all very beautiful cities/villages. The roads in between these cities are beautiful.Guest review byJuliëtteNetherlands - 10.0

If you want nature for your holiday, then Ilsenburg is the right choice! Mountains, trees, fantastic view from top! For hiking it’s one of the best route! Unfortunately, there’s also part of nature that, most of the trees are affected by the fest or plague so you will see that a lot of trees are dying or dead and some mountain are bald! Anyhow, we did hiking down and up till Brocken! And up there , 1142 m high is breathtaking👍😊Guest review byRonica418Germany - 8.0

Town is full of history with medieval houses and a hilltop castle that is very popular for German tourists. English is not common, especially in restaurant or their menus, so sometimes difficult for non-German speakers. Great place to visit Harz Mountains hiking areas and the Titan-RT suspension bridge and Dam and the Wendefurth reservoir for boating. Harz Railway Steam train to the Broken Mountain.Guest review byCharlesDenmark - 10.0

I am a history buff, and am quite interested in European history. Quedlinburg, the many narrow cobblestoned streets and wood-framed houses, the great majority of which were fully restored, offers a perfect window into times long past.Guest review byGordonUnited States - 10.0

Goslar is a place we have returned again and again. The town is beautifully preserved with many wonderful halftimbered houses.
