- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.2Very good - What previous guests thought, 234 reviewsClean comfortable hotel in a beautiful location with excellent spa facilities. Plus points for us was tesla charger included in cost, we are a family of vegetarians and vegans and we're well catered for. Ate in restaurant for 3 meals, all excellent with great service. Staff very friendly and helpful. We opted for a balcony room for one of us which was amazing with views of neuschwanstein Castle and the lake and mountains. 2 other rooms were without the view but were large and comfortable.Guest review bySarahUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very good - What previous guests thought, 3,716 reviewsStrategic location, 2 min walk from Fussen train station and bus station. Bus station is where you can take bus no.73 or no.78 to Neuschwanstein Castle. Hotel provides vouchers where you could use for bus and discounts in some of the museums, this is very thoughtful and convenient! Hotel is located very near to the town itself, Would definitely choose to stay here again in the future. The hotel is very clean and cozy, Hotel staffs are friendly and helpfulGuest review byLee ChiengMalaysia

We LOVED Fűssen!
We LOVED Fűssen! The old charm feel, the energetic cafe night time vibe, the many walking/biking paths to explore the area and the quaint neighborhood charm made it a wonderful destination. I wish we stayed longer. We ate at Ludwig’s and sat in the Swan seats. The food was delicious and the inside decor was charming. We also rode our bikes to Neuschwanstein Castle which was 15-20 minutes away. There were so many bike paths throughout the area that we were able to visit many places on bikes.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Hohenschwangau is a very busy and very touristy place,...
Hohenschwangau is a very busy and very touristy place, especially in summer but you can still enjoy the area and visit the castles if you plan things a little. Firstly, I strongly suggest you book your tickets in advance as you must visit the castles at an appointed time. Secondly, in spite of the fact that you only have barely half an hour inside Neuschwanstein Castle and 45 minutes at Hohenschwangau Castle, the lead up times (how long it takes to get there from Hohenschwangau village, and then how far in advance you need to be at the Castle gates), you will find that you will probably take close to an entire day to visit both Castles! Allow at least 3 hours for Neuschwanstein (queue for the bus, walk to Marienbrucke for a spectacular view, be at the Castle entrance at least 15 minutes before entry, 30 minutes for the tour, another 30-40 minutes for the walk downhill), and at least 2-3hrs for Hohenschwangau Castle). While you cannot plan the weather, obviously for the best views over the lakes and the countryside will be in sunshine, but there's no reason you cannot enjoy the castles even in rain or snow, however transportation may be limited in some weather. It's a long slog up the hill to walk to Neuschwanstein (not so bad for Hohenschwangau) so recommend spending the EUR 3.50 per person to take the bus (pretty scary windy drive!) or splurge and take the horse drawn carriage! It's a nice walk down from both castles. Lots of places to stop for a snack or a meal in Hohenschwangau but of course at tourist prices!Guest review byRobinAustralia - 10.0

The DE-ticket works between Ehrwald and Garmish, despite that Ehrwald is in Austria, so one can travel freely there. The Zugspitze, Sonnenspitze and other locations are reachable by train/bus/cable car from Ehrwald. The Seebensee is fantastic lake, one can get there by a bus+cable car and using and normal road or a bus and a rather difficult via ferrata. Also there is an indoor climbing (about 15m high) gym with 4 automatic belaying stations in Ehrwald, so one can climb even during bad weather conditions.Guest review byPavelGermany - 8.0

Magical place to stay for winter holidays, surrounded with lots of ski and tobogganing tracks, great communication with another villages. Food scene quite limited , same as night entertainment, I would rather to have a bit more of this to spend betters nights.Guest review byvitelio enrique - 10.0
I did not enter any of the castles or museums.
I did not enter any of the castles or museums. I had done that 50 years ago, as a student in Munich. I liked just walking around, soaking up the tourist vibe, predominantly Chinese. I even liked the rainy-sunny mix of weather, so characteristic of the Allgaue region.Guest review byDavidUnited States - 8.0

We usually like to visit Lermoos for a short vacation. The best thing about our one night stay this time was the Sevim Holzofen Pizzeria. Awesome food and such a warm welcome. Unfortunately this time we had a very poor experience staying at 'keyone' accommodation.Guest review byKoopNetherlands - 10.0
We loved the tiny town with everything so close by.
We loved the tiny town with everything so close by. It was so clean and the people really lovely. It was fantastic catching up with family after 28 years!! We had the best breakfast at Hotel Lowen and a really great pizza and pasta night at I’ll Castro . Very good value and excellent traditional food. We used Nesselwang as a base and daily went on trips. We visited Salzburg, Innsbruck , Lake Konigsee, Lake Konstanz, Heididorf in Switzerland and so much more.Guest review byTessa Van vulpenAustralia - 8.0

Biberwier is a beautiful, pastoral village nestled in the Austrian Alps, offering a serene and picturesque environment for visitors. The village is perfectly situated, providing easy access to a variety of nearby attractions, including skiing and hiking trails, scenic lakes, and cultural landmarks. It's an excellent base for exploring the Tyrolean region, with its charming local atmosphere and close proximity to popular destinations like the Zugspitz Arena, the Marienberg ski area, and the breathtaking Fernpass region. For those looking for a peaceful retreat with plenty of outdoor activities, Biberwier is an ideal choice. However, it is important to research your accommodation options carefully to ensure a pleasant stay.Guest review byItamarIsrael - 10.0

This is a great area if you like a quiet village, nature, walking, hiking, biking, swimming in nearby lakes. My hotel, Alpenblick, was a perfect location for all of this. Having a car helps, but there are buses to most places in the area and train connections from nearby towns. One big hub is Steingaden from where you can get to most places. This area is a good place to slow down, relax, recuperate if you are living in a fast paced city and all that it entails. People are friendly and helpful if the hotel staff are anything to go by.Guest review bySpJGermany
