This is one the nicest hotels in the area. Very beautiful place around, quiet and calm. Rooms are good and have everything. Staff is super friendly and very helpful. The breakfast is awesome, and the bar opens till midnight and also past midnight on weekends. A very large parking house is next to the hotel, with lots of parking spaces, and it is just €10 a day for hotel guests, which is great.

Hotel Deutsches Haus is the perfect mix of tradition and modern comfort. The building is rich in history and we enjoyed seeing the many elements that were lovingly preserved. Our rooms were spacious and had a modern twist. We loved that we could open the windows and enjoy the wonderful view of the main street. The breakfast offered at the hotel was our favourite of the trip with plenty of options to choose from. Free overnight parking is only a few minutes walk from the hotel. We also loved exploring Dinkelsbühl. It was wonderful to walk the cobblestone streets - especially early in the morning before day visitors arrived. There is also a really fun playground that our daughter loved playing on.

    The location! 🤩 The hotel is located up the hill in Hopfen am See, a stunning place in the Allgäu region with breathtaking views all around, most of all of Schloss Neuschwanstein which can be seen from a distance. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful at all times, the apartment was spacious and the food was exceptional (organic and locally grown) - fantastic breakfast buffet and a delicious choice of freshly cooked dishes every evening. The pool area is spacious and welcoming and there are free aquagym courses on offer.

Plus points for us was tesla charger included in cost, we are a family of vegetarians and vegans and we're well catered for. Ate in restaurant for 3 meals, all excellent with great service. Staff very friendly and helpful. We opted for a balcony room for one of us which was amazing with views of neuschwanstein Castle and the lake and mountains. 2 other rooms were without the view but were large and comfortable.

    We loved our stay at Das Konig Ludwig. The staff were very polite and helpful, the breakfast was delicious. They had a good variety of cheese, fruit, yogurt, breads, fresh squeezed juice, a spectacular variety of teas, and many healthy options. The hotel was very clean, the beds comfortable and the shower had very good water pressure. No wifi issues throughout the property. The spa and pool areas were well kept and the towels were plentiful. We cannot wait to go back.

    The hotel is very clean and nice, very short walk to the city center. Our room was big enough for a family with kids, with very comfy beds. The view from our hotel room was spectacular. We want to especially thank the girl that works at the reception, she was super nice and super friendly, she helped us tremendously with our issue with Europecar.     good size room and very pleasant staff. When I arrived it was raining and I was soaked, I was walking the king Ludwig Way. The Mountain View I was supposed to get from my room was poor, rain clouds everywhere. Next morning however, the clouds had gone and the view was to die for. definitely a hotel I would stay at again.

    A very interesting historical city, much of which has been...

    A very interesting historical city, much of which has been lovingly restored after devastating air raid damage in WW2. The Residence I(and its gardens) are well worth visiting, being a smaller scale version of the palaces at Versailles and Charlottenburg. Don't miss the Hofkirche while there. The Marienberg Fortress on the hill overlooking the town offers fantastic views, but is currently being extensively refurbished. It is still worth visiting though. And if you like visiting churches, you will not be disappointed here. Fantastic cuisine and wine available here. we can heartily recommend Aifach Resins and zum Stachel, the former for more contemporary cuisine and the latter for more traditional fare in traditional and historic surroundings.

    The history available through the museums, historic buildings, and art galleries is extraordinary. The confectionary shops add a wonderful addition to a cup of coffee. Beers from 3X different breweries made this a good tasting experience.

    We’ve been there before and always enjoy visiting. It’s a beautiful and historic medieval town that is protected by a double ring of fortifications upon which you can walk. Not far from the Frankfurt airport. Incredible views, great restaurants and shopping. In a word: MAGICAL! And the food of this region in Germany is fantastic!

    The town is lovely for a walk and for viewing the painted buildings. You can also get some good beer. Prices are higher due to the proximity of the castle. The town is an ideal place to stay for visiting the castle or for hiking. The roads are well maintained, as are the cycling and hiking trails. Our visit was at the end of September, with slightly worse weather, so we did not experience any crowds.

Although tourist crowds have grown significantly over the years, it's still worth a visit. Early mornings and evenings are the best time to walk around, especially if you're into photography. It continues to be one of the most beautiful towns to photograph that I've ever visited.

    It's a lovely small city with many historic buildings, a thermal bath https://solymar-therme.de/ and several good restaurants. It's easy to walk around in the city centre because there is a car free zone and speed restrictions. The Greek restaurant Zunftstuben Poseidon is very good value for money https://poseidon-mgh.de/ plus all the local bakeries and cafes offer great food. It's a good base to explore the area by car, bike or train. The local wildlife park is interesting for adults as well as children and provides many play activities https://www.wildtierpark.de/. I also loved visiting the Weikersheim Palace and Garden which is only 20min away by car or you could take a train or even cycle along the river on a dedicated cycling path https://www.schloss-weikersheim.de/en/.

    A fantastic medieval town worth a day or two!

    A fantastic medieval town worth a day or two! Walk the fully preserved town wall for a unique perspective, climb the Daniel Tower for stunning views, and visit the impressive cathedral. Don’t miss the asteroid museum to learn about the town’s impact crater origins. From March to October, the train museum near the station is a great attraction. And fun fact—it’s the hometown of a legendary football player. Guess who?

    Landsberg is a very cute city.

    Landsberg is a very cute city. Was a great place to stay and central to where we were going. Went north to Augsburg, south to Fussen and west to Munich. Easy to take the train into Munich, but we had a car to take us to train station. Loved this town and this place was so convenient to getting around it. We had a great time.

    Würzburg is a very interesting city and well worth a visit. The Residenz was nice and the views from the Fortress were spectacular. Sadly the Fortress was closed on Mondays. We stayed at the Maritime Hotel which was the perfect host. Lovely hotel and friendly staff. Breakfast was sumptuous and delicious. It is centrally situated, has parking facilities and we could walk to the city without any problems. The restaurant Alte Krane and the boat trip to Veitshöchheim was also very nice and interesting. The time spent wandering though the gardens of this very interesting quaint town was lovely. We only missed a guided walking tour of Würzburg, which was cancelled at the last minute. The information desk at the Tourist Info Office could have been more helpful. Their offer of guided tours needs to be increased. Only one offered early on a Sunday morning😒 Otherwise, Würzburg is fabulous. We met some very friendly people, especially Omi and a group of boys from Günzburg who were celebrating a bachelor party were very funny and entertaining☺️
