- From $106.97 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very Good - What previous guests thought, 1,176 reviewsWe have been coming to Tannishus for 10 years, and we absolutely love it! The apartments are spacious and clean, and the area is quiet and peaceful. The apartments are equipped with the essentials, such as toaster and coffeemaker and kettle. Has TV with a few different channels. The location is great. It's walking distance to the ocean and about three different ice cream shops. Also very close to the Spar grocery store. The sunsets at the beach are incredible.Guest review byFamiljen FarnerSweden
- From $164.38 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very Good - What previous guests thought, 1,139 reviewsI had such a wonderful stay at Brøndum’s. The staff were beyond helpful, the breakfast included was so much more than I expected, and the hotel was exceptionally clean (and historic!). I stayed in the Admiral’s Garden (annex). I’d highly recommend it if you are on a budget. The room was very spacious, had a sink, storage and amenities. There was no problem sharing the private bathroom facilities, especially in November.Guest review byRobynCanada

Aalborg is interesting but not a must-see city that gives a perspective on North Jutland's geography. It has a student feel. Plan your visit for Tuesday-Saturday, as many museums are closed Sunday and Monday.Guest review byWendyUnited States - 10.0

The Skagen museum, including Anchers house. The food and the hotel was excellent. We did not go to the other sights this time as we have been before. However, we never get tired of the paintings in the museum. Also a very good place to eat.Guest review byMagnusFinland - 8.0

It’s a small harbour town - not a place you would make a special effort to go to as a tourist, but it has a pleasant hotel with a nice terrace, a couple of decent restaurants and shops for essential groceries. If you are in Hirtshals for the ferry, you might like to stop by for a bite to eat or a drink on a terrace. The nearby beaches are beautiful and really worth a visit - especially if you have dogs!Guest review byMatthewNorway - 4.0
It seemed like a ghost city with no people.
It seemed like a ghost city with no people. But Skagen was near it is beautiful. The restaurants and coffe shops open really late, can not drink a good coffe in the morning. And we did not find a good one. :-( The supermarkets are totally different like in other cities, the supply is really poor.Guest review byZsuzsannaHungary - 8.0
It is quite calm and natural.
It is quite calm and natural. Hjørring itself is a cute town with all the facilities you need. The place is great if you love being outdoors in nature. It's not so great if you want to do a lot of activities. It's quite rural. We'd recommend going to Eagle World. Great show. We'd recommend against going to the zoo in Aalborg. It's tiny and a lot of the animal exhibits are empty. No elephants or red panda's for example. Didn't see any of the big cats. The park is also NOT handicap friendly.Guest review byRoaldNetherlands - 8.0

The local village and surrounding countryside has a lot of character from being by the seaside .There are many beautiful nature area's worth seeing. There is a very tricky police speed trap camera near entrance to village ,would recommend visitors to be very careful.Guest review byrogerDenmark - 8.0

Aalborg is clean and efficient and a nice place to visit if, like me, you have to go on a business visit. Good transport links to the airport (just 10 minutes by train) and seems easy to get around on foot. Food is fine and everyone seems to speak perfect English! Take a sweater or cardigan for the evenings!Guest review byStephenUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I love Skagen. I loved the colour and holiday feel about it. It was compact enough but not too small to feel crowded. The museums were great as weas the selection of cafes and restaurants (even though I tried only a few).Guest review byStuartAustralia - 10.0

This place was perfect for an overnight stay from coming from the ferry and leaving the next day to travel onwards to our destination a 10 hour drive further to the south-west. We found it especially useful that the bedroom had a window that could open but it was on the side the wind came from so it blew into the room a lot. It would have been nice if the windows on the other side of the room had the possibility to open, too, so we could choose which ones to open, according to the wind direction. There was a lounge with TV and a big corner sofa and a kitchen with a dining table downstairs. There was also a cozy little entrance area with a round table to play games and a very comfy hanging chair I loved to sit in. The downstairs bathroom is spacious and clean. On top of the stairs is another toilet which makes it easier for toilet use in the night for the occupants of the upstairs bedrooms. There is also a bedroom on ground level, next to the lounge and kitchen. We had a meal on the ferry, so we did not need to go out for dinner in the evening but from other visits to Hirtshals I know there are eating places around. Just check for the season because they are not all open the whole year round, especially between Christmas and the New Year you might be stuck because most places are closed at 'romjul'.Guest review byClaudiaUnited Kingdom - 8.0

We passed by and stayed for one night, and it was quite enough. We also visited a local swimming pool and local fish restaurant, both were good. We did not visit any museums, perhaps another time. It is nice to stay in this city to rest and recharge to continue your trip. Except on Sunday, when nothing seems to be open, it is so strange, but do not come there on Sunday, it would be a huge disappoint.Guest review byValeriyaFinland
