- From US$179.20 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 89 reviewsOasis", i had an idea and picture in my mind of the meaning of this word before our trip. After our trip, i can truly say i found a little gem of a diversparadise in Marsa Alam. From arriving in the airport to saying goodbye at the end of our trip, we were greeted with so much warmth, kindness and professionalism that will blow your mind totally in the positive way 😁 The hotel, a collection of little houses with seaview, and opendeck restaurant give you the feeling of being in a tiny community, actually divefamily. Food is buffetstyle in the morning and evening and even possible for lunch. We chose a la carte for lunch. Always tasty, never blend or boring and even spicy is an option 😉 We stayed 7 nights and were never offered the same dish twice. Divecenter I have dived all over the globe and can honestly say that this divecenter exceeds all expectations. Very personal and professional service: top notch briefings, enthousiastic and kind guides, helpfulness of all the divepersonel (in house and after dives), decent equipement and so on... A big thank you to all of you @ Oasis, i had an amazing holiday and hope to be back some day!Guest review byHettyBelgium
- From US$254.03 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 807 reviewsStaff. This is incredible how hard those people work. Everybody was so kind, helpful and smiling. Great waiters (special thanks to Mamdouh:)), people who take care of cleaning, people in spa, at the bar, at the reception, animators (Islam you’re the best!) - they are doing an amazing job. Good choice of tasty food. We didn’t have digesting problems not even once. Very good drinks. Rooms are cleaned everyday. There is service by the pool all the time. Lot of very well kept greenery all around the hotel. Hotel is not crowdy. Close to airport - 10 minutes so you don’t waste time for traveling. Sandy beach, beautiful bay and coral reef. Simply everything.Guest review byKamilaPoland
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 547 reviewsThis is the perfect hotel for a weekend getaway in Marsa alam. The beach was great for snorkeling, there were so many colourful fish and coral reefs. The pools were warm and clean, and the animation team beside the pool would never leave you bored, they're always doing activities for adults and kids. food was very good, large varieties and even a gluten free corner. The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Marsa alam!Guest review byEhabKuwait

Some places offer excellent takeaway food.
Some places offer excellent takeaway food. There is a public beach a little further away (a short walk across a small desert area) with exceptional underwater flora and fauna. Bring shoes for walking in the water. Please stay above or near the coral (personally, I didn't know there were risks to swimming too far from the reefs, namely sharks. But I didn't see any. On the other hand, there were some exceptional fish! Port Ghalib is a tourist spot but much, much quieter than Hurghada. If someone tries to sell you something, just say ‘La, chokram’ with a smile and everything will be fine. Don't forget to tip a little, as Egyptians earn very little (around €400 per month for a family of four). For activities, I recommend Royal Sea Tours (royalsea-tours.com), who are really great. I love Marsa Alam and Abu Dabab most, as far as the Red Sea...
I love Marsa Alam and Abu Dabab most, as far as the Red Sea goes. My favourite place of all time is the Concorde Moreen Hotel, with the Hilton coming a strong second. We only ate at the hotels, because our time was limited. I used the taxi service offered online by Booking.com, which I found to be very efficient and reasonable. But I am also a seasoned traveller in Egypt and do not find it difficult to negotiate with taxi drivers. (It can be very useful to ask Chat GPT first what an average trip should cost you, if you are unsure, and then use that as a guideline for your negotiations.) It's an amazing experience to go out on a boat, but picking the right one can make the difference. I will be leaving my review on our experience separately (as it warrants a whole story on its own :))Guest review byAnnie RuurdsSouth Africa - 10.0
Very quiet town, simple and the sea is amazing.
Very quiet town, simple and the sea is amazing. You can swim anywhere. No so much facilities ( food places, supermarkets,..) and pharmacies located around hotels. Weather is hot, limited gas stations and road is not preferable to be taken at night.Guest review byMennaEgypt - 4.0
The sea was beautiful.
The sea was beautiful. Unfortunately strong winds kept me from going into the sea. We stayed mostly in the lagoons. There was no access to sea from the beach, only from the pier. The life guards were good and attentive.Guest review byRolandSwitzerland - 8.0

"I did not leave the grounds of the Iberotel Costa Marès.
"I did not leave the grounds of the Iberotel Costa Marès. There are already so many wonderful things to do like snorkeling, diving, massages and especially the many activities offered by Captain Mahmoud's extraordinary team and the high quality shows performed in the evening. All the staff are adorable, attentive, attentive both on the beach and by the pool as well as in the various restaurants, not to mention the maintenance staff and gardeners, the cooks, the waiters (mention special for Ahzem from the main restaurant, Abd Allah at the pool restaurant, Mostafa who is part of Mahmoud's team, Hod Hod on the beach and many others of whom I don't really know the spelling of their first name. are all very courageous, with a sense of humor and kindness like I have rarely seen. Everything is put in place so that you only want to do one thing... come back as quickly as possible."Guest review byValérie LannoyBelgium - 6.0
I mentioned everything in my review, what I liked and didn’t...
I mentioned everything in my review, what I liked and didn’t like. Mainly, I noticed that someone bought a quad bike tour, and they were taken just a little way behind the hotel to ride on a pile of sand for a short while. There was trash and plastic all around, a complete wasteland—nothing pretty. I’m used to greenery, which I understand is lacking in this destination, but I definitely wouldn’t buy an overpriced camel or quad bike tour. Especially because, in that heat, it wouldn’t be an enjoyable experience for me, and with the trash around, definitely not. I did a diving trip, but it ended up being canceled. Unfortunately, they made us leave our things (like backpacks) in a place where locals were moving around, and we had no way to secure them. The original plan was that we would be on a boat. In the end, it didn’t happen, and that was probably for the best. I booked the trip through Booking. I had no particular expectations, even though we were supposed to see dolphins. Eventually, I arranged for diving, and I enjoyed it. Since I’m already a diver, it was easy, but when I saw how they even turn diving into a business, it bothered me. I saw parents forcing their 12-year-old daughter to try diving. She was crying, didn’t want to do it, but the father insisted because it was paid for. I watched her struggle and feel uncomfortable. It saddens me to see that everything can be bought with money, and that’s just wrong.Guest review bySmile08Czech Republic - 8.0
Nice place to stay for one week if the weather is OK.
Nice place to stay for one week if the weather is OK. Very good place for snorkeling or you can watch coral reef directly in the harbor without being wet. Just bring slice of bead and you will see a lot.Guest review byDavidCzech Republic
