Something for everyone.
Something for everyone. We personally love the old town which is more traditionally Spanish. We had excellent tapas in a lovely tapas bar. Enjoyed walking along the promenade to and from the old town back to our apartment which was situated at the far end of Poniente beach which was excellent, we stayed there the same time last year so choose it again for its location and amenities. Calpe is a wonderful Seaside Town with plentiful accessible beaches, great Restaurants an easy to use Local Bus service, an easy to use Tram Service for easy accessibility to other Seaside Resorts but most of all. We have been to El Campello before but further along. We were on edge of El Campello and Playa San Juan. The promenade is fabulous and it leads on to glorious beach with so many facilities. Tram runs from Alicante straight to El Campello or there is a bus 21, which runs along coast to EC. Lots of shops, restaurants. The town has some lovely parks and tree lined avenues. Central Elche was easy to get into, the town is built on a grid system. We stayed near Placa Glorieta, a very interesting area with plenty of shops and a variety of good restaurants. Well worth a visit. The apartment and it’s location were fantastic.
The apartment and it’s location were fantastic. One small complaint was that the nearby restaurants all had similar menús, some exactly the same as one another However, the Cafés and Bars offered various alternatives.
