FAQs about hotels in Andalucía
Pulsating with History and Tradition
Resounding with flamenco, the fabulous Spanish region of Andalusia (or Andalucía) has world-class attractions, wonderful scenery and welcoming beaches.
Some of the best Andalusia hotels are in Costa del Sol resorts including Nerja and glitzy Marbella, neighbour of exclusive Puerto Banús. Nearby is Málaga, Picasso’s city with relics of its Roman past.
Moorish influences have also left magnificent marks. Formerly a mosque, the incredible Córdoba Mezquita is now a cathedral. Against the backdrop of the Sierra Nevada mountains, the Alhambra is a former sultans’ residence looking down on lovely Granada, home to some romantic Andalucia hotels and apartments on Booking.com.
You can ski in the Sierra Nevada, and also in mountains by Aracena north of Seville, the region’s sun-drenched capital with a gigantic Gothic cathedral and amazing architecture in Plaza de España. It also has a ring where controversial bullfighting occurs.
Its nearest beaches are on the Costa de la Luz, between Isla Canela (by Portugal) and Tarifa. Nearby is Algeciras, across the bay from Gibraltar. Other popular Andalusia beaches are in Costa de Almería resorts including Roquetas de Mar and Mojacar.
Inland, on a steep escarpment, Arcos de la Frontera, is one of the White Villages of Andalusia. Nearby is Jerez, home of sherry. To the east is Ronda with its high bridge spanning a deep gorge.

Easy city to navigate. Lots of sights.
Easy city to navigate. Lots of sights. Our favourite was Setas which you can do in the daytime and again after 10 pm on the same ticket. Great restaurants from tapas to Michelin starred all reasonably priced compared to London. Good shopping.Guest review byTimUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Malaga is a great city to explore with the added loveliness of the beach, the port, the botanical gardens and the historic theatre & castle. The old part of the town is awesome with the small streets, museums, cathedral and little churches. Lots of tasty menus too if you're the adventurous type & like to use your language skills. We took a coach to Gibraltar and would have ventured to Granada and other nearby places had we been there longer.Guest review bySueUnited Kingdom - 10.0
There's so much around Granada.
There's so much around Granada. Excellent food, interesting places to see. Nice walks, lovely scenic beaches near Granada Costa del sol. A wonderful Flamenco at Casa Ana. Alhambra, Cartuja, Nerja Caves, Frigliana walk were great experiences. It's all up and down, so one needs good footwear. The sun rises late, so the day begins late.Guest review bySudhir - 10.0
The hop on hop off buses were excellent.
The hop on hop off buses were excellent. The guy in the office in Calle Diario de cordoba was so helpful and pleasant. Monuments, flamenco shows, horse and dancer show, hop on hop off buses were well run and not expensive. People in general were friendly. Easy to find your way around. Good food.Guest review byBrianGibraltar - 10.0
Great coastline full of lovely beaches.
Great coastline full of lovely beaches. Sandy, safe, clean water and suitable for sunbathing or for families. Lots to do in Marbella itself but absolutely miles upon miles of coastline to work with, with lots of beach bars and little villages along the way.Guest review byjoUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Wide variety of bars, cafes and restaurants.
Wide variety of bars, cafes and restaurants. Easy to get to via train and bus. Wide, clean beaches, a very efficient town hall from my experience. People are friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, not to most architecturally interesting of towns, but safe and welcoming. Malaga is in very easy reach for a wider cultural experience of Spain.Guest review byTedUnited Kingdom - 10.0

It was excellent, I have already covered this in detail in my review /Likes. The Cathedral was Magnificent inside and out, but it isn't in your sights below, because I didn't see those listed, I can't give an opinion; it was great for photos I took lots. If any of the sights below were like the Museum(Roman)and in the mina area and the beautiful beaches from the tour bus, also the tower and the music hall adjacent I would expect them to be great as well, everywhere was beautiful.Guest review byjohnUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I like the location and the whole complex as it was safe, clean and at a great location and only a short ride from the airport in an uber or taxi. The clubhouse had excellent food and amenities as did Sam’s bar next door.Guest review byMartinaIreland - 10.0

Fuengirolla is a busy resort that spreads along the coastine past Los Boliches to Torreblanca. You can find beaches, restaurants and bars to suit your taste. The 'Square' is at the heart of the town, the Bubba Bar and Casa Colon being our favourites. The train is an easy way to visit other local areas as far back as Malaga at very reasonable prices. What's not to like?Guest review byMichaelUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Nerja was a beautiful town with lovely little beach alcoves.
Nerja was a beautiful town with lovely little beach alcoves. The Balcon de Europa had stunning sunset views. Great restaurants & bars with plenty of lovely shops. Friendly safe vibes when strolling around. Easy to visit local towns by local bus. Best steak at a restaurant called ‘Rare’ advise booking a table on their terrace. Best cocktails also.Guest review byGerardIreland
