We are frequent travelers and I must say that Casa Doňano is one of the best we have experienced in Europe. The house has a mystical atmosphere, it is a wonderful and sensitive reconstruction of a rural historical building with the corresponding equipment. It filled us with positive energy there. The owners (a lady from Brazil and a gentleman from Holland) were very kind and helpful, and at the same time they were extremely pleasant communication partners for us.     We couldn’t have asked for a better stay! From the moment we arrived, everything was absolutely perfect. The host was incredibly welcoming, kind, and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The room was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged — you can really tell they care about their guests. And the breakfast was absolutely amazing! Fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented — it truly made our stay even more special.

    The total Camino was great The biggest thing was not planning better However it wasn’t booking fault. I’m 66 and walked the Camino 130 miles. Everything I did book went great. I will book everything next time.

    It was amazing to arrive in Portomarin and dip my feet in the river. It was the best foot spa experience I have ever had. Great spot to rest when walking the Camino from Sarria. There was a couple of people singing and playing a guitar under a bridge and that made the whole experience even more romantic.

    Large room comfortable beds with quiet a/c. Warm day loved the pool. Breakfast stated at 0700 and excellent choices. Nice to get on Camino by 0730. Easy walk to bars and restaurants. Highly recommend!

    Lugo is a stunning city surrounded by Roman walls that you can walk along on top. It's architecture is similar to Santiago de Compostela but as it doesn't have as many visitors doing the Camino it is a much more comfortable city to walk around. Lovely shops and good vibe in the local bars. and good traditional Galician food in the local restaurants. It's a safe city away from the blistering summer heat that other southern Spanish cities have to endure. A real hidden gem.

    The hotel was right on the harbour so it was great to have look around the boats ect. A short walk uphill into the town and you find plenty of bars and good restaurants. If you dont fancy the walk into town there are 3 good fish restaurants on or around the harbour. If you have a push bike there's plenty to explore like the lighthouse ect.

    The public room where you could have a beer or glass of wine or other beverage from the fridge and paid thru the honor system was a highlight. Also, the laundry service was amazing -- they even folded all our clothes. The breakfast was a delicious and beautiful toast, cheese and egg sandwich. The host made sure we were comfortable at every turn.

    If I had of booked for a week i am sure I could have occupied my time. The town is ok but the beach and walks could be great especially the estuary and San Roque which I would have liked to see. Don’t miss the beaches or the estuary as they are really good

    Nice little town.

    Nice little town. The Parador is magificent and the castle tower. The Colexio da N. Sra. Antica is a superb classical building. It's surroudings and the river bank and bridges are a very nice ambience.

    It is a friendly town of the new and old that honours and celebrates Galician heritage, writers and poets. As a customer in shops, cafés, taverns and restaurants you fell welcome and respected. Taverna Galega - A Lareira, is close to the Albergue and has a special atmosphere, excellent service and fine, daily selection of Pinchos. Pasteleria Ben has mouth-watering pastries and excellent coffee. The Tourist Office is very helpful.

    I was only in Sarria for less than 2 days at the start of a camino walk to Santiago. It was a very interesting town with lovely old stone buildings, views, good cafes and restaurants and bars. very interesting historically. Also a good spot for a bit of preparatory camino shopping — poles, shoes and other gear.
