Every staff from the hotel was absolutely wonderful! My parents (seniors) were so happy with the choice to stay here. I had been communicating with the hotel days before arrival to help arrange my parents visit, and the hotel's manager and staff were so helpful. We asked and were recommended a tour guide by the hotel, and she was also wonderful and professional. Breakfast, location, service, quality, everything has exceeded our expectation. The staff at the hotel is incredible. Johanna is an exceptional person, very helpful and extremely kind. If you are looking for a homely atmosphere (you want to get to know her family, including the animals) and to be wrapped up in her care, I recommend this place to you. I recommend you the attic room with the bathtub in the middle of the room, which adds an amazing charm. In summer, I suppose the other room (with a terrace) would also be beautiful. Of course you also have a shower in the bathroom. You won't lack anything at the hotel, you can ask Johanna for everything. If you are travelling by car, please keep in mind that the Hotel is in the centre of the old town, there are plenty of parking spaces in the area, but they require about a 10 minute walk to the Hotel(uphill, hihi). Of course this is not a hassle but keep it in mind. There is a great selection of yummies for breakfast, I would recommend you local products such as yoghurt or cheese from Menorca. In the summer you will have a portable fridge available, which is very practical and nice. The rooms have very well functioning air conditioning and heating, which is a surprise in a house of this type (a restored old townhouse). In summary: definitely recommended if you are a traveller looking for sophisticated and original places. Ps. The whole of Menorca is unique! The people are friendly and very helpful, they smile at you all the time, greet you and you can generally sense the strongly Spanish atmosphere of the island. Remember, however, that it is a small island and if you don't want to spend your days only on the beach, 3 days are definitely enough to explore the whole island (Everywhere is very close :). Well worth it!

Unhurried life in unspoilt nature

A beautiful Balearic Island, Menorca (or Minorca) has wonderful beaches, sandy coves and a more laidback atmosphere than its neighbours Ibiza and Majorca. Boasting the world’s 2nd largest natural harbour, its capital Mahon is the centre of the nightlife, with several clubs and bars. However, as soon as you head to one of the Menorca resorts, things start to slow down. Punta Prima along the coast has a lovely Blue Flag beach, while the longest beach at Son Bou on the south coast is lined by protected sand dunes. Much of Menorca’s unspoilt beauty is ecologically important, so it’s worth heading inland from the beaches to explore the mountains. The views from the highest peak Monte Toro are amazing. Also worth checking out are the ‘taula’ – prehistoric megaliths whose origin is a mystery. Another prehistoric monument is the Naveta tomb near Ciutadella, a city centred on its port, partly lined with walls. Fantastic Cala Blanca and Cala’n Bosch to the south have a good range of luxury Menorca hotels available on Booking.com, as does curving Cala Galdana where the sea appears almost green. In the more rocky north of the island, the main resorts are Fornells – a pretty fishing village – and Arenal d’en Castell, home to yet another wonderful horseshoe bay.

This hotel is lovely. We only stayed for 2 nights but we were very happy with it. Free parking in the hotel car park or plenty of street parking available if needed. The room was spacious and had everything you need. A kettle was available if you ask for one at reception. I found all the staff to be so friendly and helpful. The breakfast is great with lots of options. It is also very close to the beach! Communication was fantastic. I was contacted by the hotel before my stay to discuss my arrival time and if I had any additional requirements or questions. Highly recommend staying here

It’s a charming hotel set in an ancient farm in the countryside of Menorca, in an excellent location, under 10 minutes away from the beach and close enough to Mahon and Ciutadella. The setting is dreamy, the decor is very tasteful, the facilities are very comfortable, the personnel is impeccably nice and helpful, and the food is very very good. We had lunch and breakfast and both were excellent. Beautiful gardens, excellent swimming pools (indoor and outdoor), lots of room to walk or cycle around. We will definitely come back to stay here.

Friendly staff who gave us all the information we needed, Fantastic breakfast with lots of choice and great location. The apartment had everything we needed, the kitchen was well equipped, towels were changed every two days, and it was peaceful and quiet at night. Location is realy great, next to the beach, a lot of hiking trails nearby. A lot of sport options. Market is next to hotel. Quality breakfast with a lot of options. Whole area of hotel is very clean and modern. Beautiful views from pool area. If you smoke the only place u can smoke is some area at the pool and outside hotel. Staff is realy friendly and helpfull !!

it is really beautiful, not only Ciudadela but also the entire island, there are many activities to do, many beaches and places for visiting, also the gastronome is just amazing. The beaches and coves are truly beautiful places to enjoy, with very clean water, a very rich culture, easy access, etc. The island is great!!

The highlight of our trip was a boat trip to the Ile del Rei...

The highlight of our trip was a boat trip to the Ile del Rei and a tour of the islands 18th century hospital. We also visited Ciutadella which had been the capital. It was very easy travelling by the No.10 bus and took just an hour. A lovely day trip.

This was our second stay in the area and we have booked for next year. The locals are friendly and the food is a very good standard. The harbour is lovely to visit and walk round by day or night. Our local go to bar is Tom's bar just off the harbour. Where Guinness is only 5.50 euros. Lol. Cala' n Bosch is easy to get to from Mahon airport and the hire of a car is well worth it.

A lovely resort for families and couples. Beach is excellent with lots of facilities; plenty of options for eating and drinking in a compact centre. Good local bus services if you want to get around. Cannot fault it!

There is good entertainment.

There is good entertainment. Many places for good food and drinks. A very nice beach. Cala en Blanes is a very nice and clean place. It is very nice for oldish people. We find it very good as I am 71 and find it very easygoing. We have been to Cala en Blanes approximately for over 10 years. I’m sure we will be going again.

Very quiet area, with a small tourist center where you can find everything you need. Close to Ciudadella and many other beaches where the bus goes. One-hour taxi ride to the airport for 70 Euros. There are no street vendors offering glasses and beach towels, but there are a lot of mosquitoes even during the day, on the beach, by the pools, on the terraces.

I had absolutely amazing, relaxing stay in here. It is true that the hotel is a bit isolated, but one should know this before booking a stay here. For me, this was perfect, as I was seeking for nice relaxing stay at hotel and chilling on the beach, which was just 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel. The animation team is coming with plenty of activities, so even at the hotel you can not get bored. It was perfectly relaxing time at pool and beach. The hotel is well maintained and is really clean, the restaurant is beautiful with an amazing food, I did not find a single thing to complain about. I loved it and I would highly, highly recommend!

It has been 40 years since we visited.

It has been 40 years since we visited. This time with extended family. 1st week at a property that accommodated 8. 2nd week at the Vista Playa 1. Only one very poor failing in both. Neither property provided good wine glasses for drinking good Spanish wine. Glass tumblers are a bad image. Exception - Vista Playa 1 did provide 2 good wine glasses after our request. One exceptional pleasure was to be accommodated in apartment 0306 with superb views. Many thanks

Lovely cove with a large beach, with lots of facilities. A few decent places to eat, but as typical for Menorca not lots and lots. Easy to get to Mahon or En Castadel for the night using the friendly Island taxis
