- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 709 reviewsThis was an overnight stop over for us between two other locations but we spent a lovely afternoon / evening on the local beach with the kids, which was lovely. The room was lovely and just what we had expected. Its was clean and well appointed with a small kitchen for cooking if you so wished. There was a pool area but we didn't use it as it was fairly windy and raining in the evening - standard for this time of year in this part of the world! Lots a parking for our rental. Reception staff were helpful and explained everything for us and the waiter at breakfast couldn't be more helpful. Excellent service.Guest review byAdamUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 2,705 reviewsWe enjoyed our short stay at this outstanding hotel. The location is right on the water, the spa was terrific, the outdoor pool too, and parking was easy. The rooms were large and comfortable. The price is very reasonable. Breakfast was very very plentiful and one of the best we've encountered in our many hotel stays throughout Europe. We highly recommend this hotel. We also loved seeing the church covered with scallop shells. The island itself is also charming.Guest review byJamieUnited States

Bus transport in this town we struggled with, so we ended up hiring a car. Trains are very good. We definitely stayed too long, there is not a lot to do here. The beaches we did get to see were lovely, wished we stayed near a beach rather than town.Guest review byLesley HarveyUnited Kingdom - 10

Pretty city with lovely river walks and the old town was gorgeous. Beautiful churches and basilicas which were free to visit. The restaurants were excellent and a wide range of cuisines. It was a bit hectic driving around town and parking on the street was difficult. However, there were many inexpensive carparks available. The people were friendly and learning a little Spanish before visiting this region, will go a long way.Guest review byBelindaAustralia - 8.0
The lodging is very new and quite easy to stay in.
The lodging is very new and quite easy to stay in. The beds were comfortable, it was a safe area. The kitchen was decent, the air conditioning worked well (important during this stay as it was hot in CdR). It seemed to be quiet so getting a good nights rest was easy. There are dining amenities very close and there is also a produce market if you are inclined to make your own food! The wifi was a little dodgy at times. We used the washing machine and the clothes drying rack which made our stay there very productive.Guest review byJohnUnited States - 10

The coastal view of REDONDELA is refreshing and offers an interesting backdrop of the place especially the towns and countryside we passed by walking from Vigo on our way to Santiago de Compostela. We wished we could have stayed a bit longer.Guest review byAntonioUnited States - 10
This town was such a nice surprise.
This town was such a nice surprise. I decided to divide my camino stage and Porriño was great to visit. There are plenty of nice restaurants and cafés. It's a beautiful town architecturally, so I enjoyed walking around the town. It's also not a touristy town or a place overrun with other Caminho pilgrims (like me), so I was able to experience the town without a lot of outside influence. On a personal choice note, I actually enjoyed Porriño more than Valença and Tui. I spent a night in each of those locations on my Camino. The other two towns were much more focused on the tourist/pilgrim guests. While I enjoyed Valença because of its history and architecture, the town was more touristy than I would have liked. Porriño has all the charm of a small town, without the interference of outside . A final note about Porriño. The people that you interact with, restaurant, hotel staff or just people you meet on the street were always pleasant to interact with. They were always patient with my limited language skills and made me feel welcome in their town. Visit Porriño!Guest review byCamino 2023 Rick FLUnited States - 10

Tui is a beautiful town located near the border with Portugal. Ideal location for our rest day while walking the Camino Portuguese. The town is full of history and oozes charm and character. There are plenty of great places to eat or simply people watch in a cafe. Everything we wanted to do was in easy walking distance of our accommodation.Guest review byAnonymous - 10
Baiona is a breathtakingly beautiful seaside town!!
Baiona is a breathtakingly beautiful seaside town!! It's easy to walk around and get to restaurants, shopping, the beaches, the marina. So much to see and do. There is also a wonderful sidewalk everywhere that the Camino Pilgrims use, so it's easy and safe to walk everywhere!! The seaside views are spectacular!! I HIGHLY recommend a walk out to the Crystal Beach and Light House!!!Guest review byLisa CunninghamUnited States - 8.0
Beautiful views and clean beaches.
Beautiful views and clean beaches. Different coves to discover. Fabulous cake shops. Lovely restaurants . We stayed for 7 nights but felt that we could have moved on after 5. Very few people speak English here and there are some steep banks to negociate.Guest review byrobertUnited Kingdom - 10
Nice town and pretty good hotel.
Nice town and pretty good hotel. Only one complain - I stayed in room 311. Some freaky internal designer placed a shelf above the sitting place of the desk. On getting up from the chair I smashed my head in that shelf. It still hurts! fortunately I have a strong head. Please remove that shelf. Next guest may have a weaker head....Guest review byNikolayBulgaria - 8.0
